Ryan, sad news.  May all the lost data R.I.P.. Glad to see you back.  As the sun comes up Bobcat Attack is back.  Time to rebuild.  Again, the great news is Bobcat fans have their gathering place once again.

No worries....I am happy to have a place to connect with others who are passionate about OHIO athletics and appreciate yours and the others(Ted, Mike) personal investment in time, money, technosmarts, etc. that you devote to Bobcatattack.com.

This may be good for some of us who posted stuff we're not real proud of.  By the way, is Bobcat Love still going to football games? I hear we have a great schedule this year.

Colo, the thought did occur to me that along with a "library" of good information, an over-used "outhouse" was flushed away.

Ryan and Ted,

I want my money back for my subscription to this site.  I got to the office early this morning and was going to go through the archives of Ohio Baseball threads.  Now I have to find something else to do.  Also, I would like to know when the exact date of our move to FCS (1-AA) is, or when we will be in the Big East.  Now I will have to wait for a whole new rumor mill to start up.  You can send my refund check to my address or record.

What?  You lost my address, too?!!  And this site is free???!!!  I'll keep an eye on the mailbox just in case.

So glad to have my Bobcatattack back. The good news for me is I can now repost both the good ideas/posts I've had over the past years and no one will be able to point out my redundency.

Glad, it's back, Ryan.   Sorry to hear about the data loss.  Whe ever you get around to it, it would be nice to have iPhone and IPhad compatbillity.  I've never been able to post from my iPad, and on both iPhone and iPad, the menus in the yellow bar at the top of the page don't appear, so one has to navigate via direct url to the specific messageboard page.

Menus in the yellow bar have been disabled on the mobile version on purpose.  Just click on the "message board" link up there and it will take you to the main message board page where it lists out all the boards.

I need to "re-apply" the down-graded textbox for posting if on the mobile site.

As for the IPad, up until the site went down last week, there shouldn't have been any reason why the IPad wouldn't allow you to post if you were using http://mobile.bobcatattack.com  And that goes for any browser which doesn't want to display the rich text editor...but as of right now, it not working and probably won't for a couple of days.

Unfortunately I lost all my code I had done for a top secret beta version of the mobile version of the website.  It was pretty sweet.

Thanks, Ryan, I never knew there was a separate mobile site.  I've always just logged on to bobcatattack.com from my iPhone with the regular address.  The iPad was not able to post prior to the data loss; however, I was not on the mobile site. -- Carl

Ryan,
Sorry to hear about the data loss, I can only imagine how long you have worked to maintain this site.  I also would like to take this opportunity to say thanks for putting it back up, and continuing its operation.  This is a great community and it's always interesting to take into consideration everyone else's opinion.   So even though I don't say it enough, I just wanted to thank you again for your time.

"Ya'll fail to see what's really happening, people. The noise you hear is a giant sucking sound coming from Oxford, Ohio, and that would be all OUr data going away.

"Now, look at these lines here. And then these lines here. Now all is good, right? Then the giant sucking sound and OUr data goes away faster than green grass in a Texas summer."

Ditto.  This tragedy reminded me of how darn cool this site is to begin with.

Ryan, thanks for all your hard work getting BA back up and running. Despite the data loss, my crutch has been returned. I NEVER realized how much I logged onto this site (despite the rather slow months of June/July) until I tried to log in...repeatedly...over the last few days. Glad its back up and running!!

I guess this means we will have to re-enact all those great moments in Bobcat history over the past few years.

I won't mind.

Ryan,
Now that I know about the mobile site, I find it very nice and well thought out. There, however, is one anomaly that I've noticed. When I try to mark a thread as read, it still shows as not being read. Not a big deal, but I thought you'd like to know.

P.S. Hmm . . . Well, when I saved this message, I was able to mark it read, but I did have trouble doing so with other threads. I'm confused.

That wouldn't be a result of the mobile vs. regular site.

Maybe it was a result of holding my iPhone in the wrong hand! :-)
