One of the best things that I saw today was that Ohio was recognized for being so smart with its money. The Bobcats don't have the giant bank accounts of the Big Ten or SEC, but what Ohio does have is a smart plan that breeds a successful program!

We're in debt because we spend more than we make, even though we spend relatively little.

We're "efficient" because we are winning a decent amount while spending little. Our income is not a factor in that calculation.

Having recently purchased four tickets to a conference football game -- for seats near mid-field, 30 rows up -- for a total outlay of $40, I perceive part of the problem: Either we are undercharging for the product or it is irrelevant.

Some how I doubt the salary of the Equipment Managers have the department in financial trouble. I would say it has more to do with the historical neglect that has occurred on the part of the trustee's and the President's office over the past 40 years.
