Bobcat RB Harden suspended for the first SIX games..not 2 or 3 but 6?? Several longtime Bobcat fans and supporters are curious as too why so many games for the young man who had never been in trouble before with the law and considering the injuries that he has fought through since being in Athens I think 6 games is preposturous in light of the AJ Oxley 6 game suspension its an out right JOKE.

I think he got a "fair" deal in the sense that any other athlete would have been treated the same way.  It's just that Ohio's disciplinary policy is no joke.  Compare what Harden got to the half-season Travis Carrie lost for buying a stolen laptop -- to me those are similar (very strict) penalties.

If you've heard something final about Oxley getting 6 games, that's news to me.  I wasn't aware his legal issues had shaken out yet.

The clutch games for the MAC East are almost all in the last six games (plus, if all goes well, there will be two more contests after that).  Donte can still be a huge part of this season.

I think it broke down as being a 3 game suspension for the DUI itself, plus an additional 3 games for being dumb enough to drive after drinking in Athens. Nobody drives in this town, stumble home from the bars like the rest of us drunkards.

From my perspective, I've run out of patience as far as my athletic representatives appearing on the police blotters.

He's being permitted to continue studies and pursue athletics. Perhaps the severity will send a message that we will not win at the price of our dignity. Although some might argue persuasively that the ship has already sailed as far as that goes.

On one hand he got a fair deal, on the other hand he did not as Frank did not have to sit out six games.  I am glad that the university is taking a tougher stand with the players from this point forward.
