Rivals.com has been counting up the FBS teams from No. 120 to No. 1. OUr number (73) got called with this post:
http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1097453#73. The conclusions drawn in the synopsis are:
- Except for a trip to Ohio State, the schedule appears manageable for a Bobcats program that looks bowl-bound again.
- Still, the unsettled situation in the offensive backfield at quarterback and running back gives some pause.
Here's a quick look at the MAC:
58 - Temple
67 - Northern Illinois
73 - Ohio
82 - Bowling Green State
87 - Western Michigan
88 - Akron
94 - Central Michigan
96 - Kent State
98 - Toledo
108 - Ball State
111 - Miami
115 - Buffalo
117 - Eastern Michigan
The "count-up" to No. 1 is complete with the introduction of Alabama at No. 1. Ohio State is No. 2. A notable graph in the writeup about the Buckeyes concerns their schedule:
If Ohio State wins fewer than 10 games, the season should be considered a failure. The Buckeyes have eight home games overall, including four in a row to open the season. Three of them are layups: Marshall, Ohio U. and Eastern Michigan.
