Zastudil's return uncertain: Mangini said punter Dave Zastudil will miss more time after he returns Wednesday from Colorado, where he went to have his knee re-checked by his surgeon.
Originally, Zastudil was supposed to return on Friday. Mangini said Zastudil did not have surgery while was in Colorado. He also didn't specify how long Zastudil might be out or whether he'll need more surgery in the future. He's recovering from a torn right patella tendon.
New England Patriots WR Torry Holt may not make the team's final roster, according to Tim Graham, of ESPN.com. Holt appears to be sitting sixth at best on the depth chart at wide receiver, behind WRs Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, Brandon Tate and Taylor Price. WR Sam Aiken, who made 11 tackles and forced a fumble on special teams last year, could also earn a roster spot ahead of Holt.
Houston Texans CB Mark Parson (undisclosed) returned to practice Thursday, Aug. 12, reports Nick Scurfield, of HoustonTexans.com. LB Danny Clark (calf) was held out once again and may miss the team's first preseason game.
