This is what I would recommend:

1. The Holliday Inn and Suites in Downtown Huntington (304) 523-8880‎. 800 Third Avenue, Huntington, WV‎  Its within walking distance of "Pulman Plaza" Here is a link to all the things down at Pullman http://www.pullman-square.com/

2. Holliday Inn and Suites "Huntington Mall"....3551 Rt. 60 East, Barboursville, WV‎ - (304) 733-3338‎. This is the newer Hotel in the area and is minutes from the mall, good restraunts among other things.

3. Red Roof Inn...5190 U.S. 60, Huntington, WV‎ - (304) 733-3737‎. Probably your cheapest option, just off the 29th st. exit off I-64. Minutes from the stadium. Several food selections in the immediate area.

4. Comfort Innn....249 Mall Rd, Barboursville, WV‎ - (304) 733-2122‎. Nice Hotel located just off the main belt of the Huntington Mall.

The second hotel listed is a brand new facility with lot of parking. Its close to the mall and only 10 minutes from the stadium. Its probably where I would attemp to stay first if rooms are available. If not there, my second selection would be between option 3 and option 1. Option 4 is a nice place but in an odd location but right near the mall. These are the newer and nicer facilities with better reviews. Hope this helps.

If you want to stay downtown I would recommend the Holiday Inn over Pullman Plaza. HI is a newer property.

Another option is out of the downtown area just off the Hal Greer Blvd exit of I-64. It's a couple miles from the stadium.

Pullman Plaza is a nice place, good job by the City of Huntington to turn that old area into a very nice destination.

Good luck on that one.  Not much over there close by as I remember.

Yeah, there's not much in South Point and Chesapeake. Ashland, KY maybe... if you don't want to stay in Huntington.

I stay at the Holiday Inn every home game weekend. All the suites and rooms have been updated, indoor pool and a breakfast buffet in the mornings. You're directly beside Pullman Square and share a parking garage with it. At Pullman there is a 16 screen movie theater, Funny Bone Comedy Club and a number of restaurants. The Holiday Inn is also just across 3rd avenue from the Marshall Hall of Fame Cafe and the new Whiskey River Night Club.

You definitely need to try out the Hall of Fame Cafe.
