I find it is frustrating one week before the opener there is not more fresh team news. I am sure it will start next week but the media outlets have been silent.
I got The Messenger subscription and there is not a written Bobcat football word since the 23rd although there is a big TOSU wire story today. I like the media day player videos but they are not timely. Troop's site has been quiet for 30 days. The Sports Fan on WATH has been Red's focused. The Bobcats.com site is covering other fall sports this week which is fine with me and well deserved by the other teams.
So anyone know why it is so quiet this week?

It sure does seem odd that there really has not been any news recently.

Dispatch has their college preview today, but there is nothing new in the article.

I see some publications talking about how thin our O line is. I thought our depth was OK here. Maybe we need to see an injury report update to clarify.

It is not exactly "official" news but my friend wrote these two articles for his online magazine in the past week:

About the Offense:

speakeasymag.com/sports/inside-the-frank-enstein-offense/

About the Wide-outs:

speakeasymag.com/uncategorized/a-tribe-called-best/

Nice site and contains some new information. Thanks for listing it. I bookmarked it too. I really like that he is attneding practices and giving those insights. Well done.

I was wondering how Snyder was picking things up.  Good articles.

I was talking with some of the guys on their day off to get a feel for where things are. Looks like Weller's nursing a sore hammy but it sounds like it's nothing new. LaVon has some sort of MCL sprain and might miss the first 2-3 games. D-line is as solid as all the speculation has been hyping. Clemens getting some looks at LB. Riley's been pulling in sick one-handed catches practice after practice. The biggest news I pulled out was Phil getting the game-day start. I was pretty shocked. Apparently the coaches feel he has the best ability to create plays.

LaVon out for the first three games? Now I guess when we asked for news we preferred all good news. Thanks for the updates.

Obviously way early, but I don't think there's any problem at all with having Snyder on OUr side.

According to Jason Arkley in the Messenger today, LaVon is day to day. He may have to sit out the Wofford game. Notestine is banged up too but looks to be ready for the opener.

My favorite bit of news though...my boy Travis Carrie getting the start at corner with Posey on the other side! Fletcher, Moore, Posey and Carrie with Ballard, Jackson, Dawson and the Leftwich boys as reserves. That has to be the best d-backfield in the MAC.
