Good interview, too.  He comes off as not quite as polished a speaker as Boo, and I didn't find the "pep talk" aspects of what he said as inspirational as Boo's.  However, that doesn't mean he's not the better QB.  Both of them seem very confident in their own abilities and of the abilities of their teammates.  They also both come off as having the "mind set" (apologies to Larry Hunter) necessary to be leaders who will promote good team play.  They both made it clear that the team goals of winning every game were the most important thing.  Personal ambition must take a back seat to team goals.  I hope the one that is not the starter can keep that perspective when Frank gives 'em the bad news.  Personally, I'm optimistic that this will, indeed, be the case.  GO OHIO!

Boo seems to be looking at the big picture of what to do to win where Phil is more focused on just being the best he can be each play. I think I can identify more with Phil's perspective. Just go out there and try to get it done every play.

Although we are getting Boo back because of an injury, it is crazy to think about how a stroke of misfortune put us into such a fortunate situation at QB this year.  And who knows, I am sure Tettleton has improved as well so having those three to choose from could bode very well for us this season indeed. Going to be fun to see what our QBs can do against Wofford. I assume more than one QB will get snaps in that game.

It would seem to me that if Boo and Bates stay healthy, it might make sence to redshirt Tyler.  That would give him three more years and two after Bates graduates.  I have confidence in Tyler and think he could help the team this year if he played, but this might make sense in the long run.
