I remember last year we incured numerous injuries from fall camp.
Has anyone heard anything on this topic so far this year?

Laudermilch and Flowers are done for the year, after already losing Bunner, Pinder, Britain and Davis? Wow. What looked to be by far the deepest Offensive line under Solich at Ohio is getting thin in a hurry. I had expected 9 returning offensive linemen with at least 65 snaps, but now there are only 4 left, Strum (500 snaps), Carlotta (198 snaps), Herman (534 snaps) and Flading (624 snaps). Other than those 4, you have Allen (17 snaps), Mitchell (3 snaps), Batsakes (2 snaps), plus  Lechner,  Johnson, Bales, McGrath, and Dietz, all with 0 snaps.

What happened to Pinder?  I must have missed that somewhere along the line...

I still think with the redshirts; Lechner, Johnson and McGrath, Dietz should be redshirted. Just what you do with true freshmen.

This kind of demeaning talk is totally off base, even if true, which it certainly couldn't be.  You owe this young man an apology.  What kind of garbage do we get on this site?

Especially when you have recruits and others reading this site daily for news and updates about OHIO BOBCATS..no one wants to get trashed like that and Kadre is a good kid who will be missed GREATLY on the line...he was one of the best if not the best linemen..and thats from a COACH. I would defiently hope people will stop acting so childish and instead of trashing kids try and help them.

Please read the thread on the O-Line and two others mentioned that Mr. Pinder flunked out of school.  Sorry but that is the truth.....Someone asked the question and I answered the question in this thread, what did you want someone to say.  Did you want a Robert Smith line "I am giving up football to concentrate on my studies?"

Kid had loads of talent and in my opinion was the best lineman we had, however please tell me when the NCAA dropped the term student from student-athlete?

You take pleasure in it John. That's the issue. You're always the first to post a snarky comment after some kid fails out of school, gets suspended from the team or anything similar. This kid is going to google his name 10 years from now and find that. Delete it,

Funny how any type of a "Tounge in Cheek" reference about Mr. Wanamaker normally results in a private email lashing from Mr. Wanamaker, yet he takes pleasure in childish public comments about someone else.

Just go ahead and blast me on here and save me the trouble of having to check a private email!

No reason to bash, I stand behind my comment, others mention the kid flunks out in the "O-Line Competition Thread"  but pile on me?  If I would have posted the same thing and stated it the same way some of you would still pile on me.  Oh well.

Gentlemen, gentlemen, please!

Hey, some people can't spell "cat" while others can't spell "tongue."

So I say, "Let's lift our longnecks and guzzle a toaaste to spelchecker"!

Actually Kadre didn't flunk out of school..that would consist of failing classes...Kadre was ineligible due to not getting a GPA above 2.8. You can pass all of your classes with muliple C averages and let's say one D grade and still not be above a 2.8. If you do this in multiple quarters then your ineligible per ncaa guidelines...not flunked out...maybe Kadre even had better grades than some of these message board all stars..I wonder

I'm going to show my age, perhaps.  When I was in school, 2.8 was nearly a "B" average. It was well above the eligibility cutoff.  Have the weights of the "letter grades" changed since, ah, er ... ?

I'll make sure to pay better attention to our roster in the future so I don't stir up any more hornet's nest like this  :)

I already got mine from JCW on this topic.

Going back to his " CA" comment, the sad thing is that he doesn't know what he said is offensive and uncalled for.  It just comes so natural for him to joke about other people like this that he doesn't see anything at all wrong about it.

A little closer to the original thread: What about the OL transfer from Florida State, John Pryor?

When I spoke with Coach Solich at the Caravan Stop he seemed to have nothing but praise for Prior. He sits this season and then we get his services.

Another miss-informed poster, Alan Swank posted a nice concise link that you can check, a 2.8 would be in good graces with any school in the Country.  And FYI I never said he flunked out, I said other posters on another thread mentioned that.

After reading through Franks comments following the 2nd scrimmage I am concerned when he say some players are banged up and therefore they only ran 50 plays.
Are these banged up players just bruised or will these players miss time come the season?
With all the optimism for this season we do not need injuries to put a damper on things.
If someone has more insight please share.

guys are sore, have booboo's, not since in making them worse, give them a little rest.  You win on games in pre-season scrimmages

The Messenger did an article today on the injury situation. The only part that was readable for non-subcribers was the first paragraph which stated no devestating injuries.
This is great news.
Can anyone else who has a subcription chime in?
