Anyone else notice that the entire Wofford team and staff stopped and took their hats off while our band and players sang the Alma Mater after the game?  Fantastic sportsmanship and pure class.  It was very refreshing to see...

Yes I noticed that as well.  I was quite impressed by them for that and the way they played last night.

There are a lot of things about the FCS conference schools that Division I programs would be smart to emulate. The fans' attention to the game, the sportsmanship and the effort is always there from those schools. I never fail to admire watching an FCS school go into a D-I stadium and handle themselves so well. It helps that Wofford runs the triple-option. It seems to be a calming influence when your program has an identity...and one that doesn't include chucking it in the air 40 times. You're not reliant on the nerves of the quarterback or his receivers. You simply run your offense. As an underdog, I think that helps.

And I was shocked Wofford brought that many. Most of our MAC opponents don't bring that many fans.

Agree here. Seemed very classy. (and the few that I met at the tailgate were friendly folks too)

Also, like Brian, I was impressed with the number of Terrier fans. That's a big trip up from SC. Best wishes for them the rest of the season.

Have to agree with all that's been said in this thread.  Wofford is a class act -- from the players, to the coaches, to the fans.  I would not mind playing them again in an opening game.  However, like BL, I also want my BCS home tilts!

Yeah , maybe we could get Arizona in and get wacked by 40 points, or get Syracuse in and draw 15K and lose. BL is never around when things are going so well for the Cats. I am not sure I really mind that..
I am happy with our schedule and our record! Yeah bring back the Terriers, they have passion , just like us.

We wouldn't get wacked by 40 points by Arizona.  We are much better than UT, as you will see this Saturday.

Yeah, at one point during the Wofford game where things weren't going so well for us, I found myself thinking "What is the advantage to inviting a FCS triple option team to Peden anyways if we can't beat them soundly a get a good practice game out of it?" Then, I had to stop my case of poor sport-itus and give a tip of the hat to Wofford for how hard they were playing against us. I think it is good for us too, because we can't get all high on ourselves just because we had a good season last year. Different team, different season. Have to focus on building our strengths and being the best team the team is this year under its new identity if we are going to win the MAC. Good luck to Wofford on the rest of their season and go 'Cats!
