This week's game should be a lot of fun. Toledo has some skill, but Ohio is solid, especially at home. I've got to take the Bobcats.

I just have a bad feeling about this game-which in my opinion is the most important game of the year (if we lose)-Toledo 28 Ohio 17.  Boy, do I hope I am wrong.   I worry about the offensive line holding up, the running game and the punting game.  Attendence 19,299

If Boo is in there, he will find a way to by time to throw the ball...not just run with it....we have to many weapons at WR not to be throwing as well as running......we win this game 27-20....

Went through the motions against Wofford, Time to turn it up,    Passing game is back and Boykin runs for 100+ yards.

OHIO            31

TOLEDO      17

Even if the voiced O-Line concerns turn out to be valid I have every confidence that both of our QB's can execute successful gameplans throughout the year via roll-out.  Actually considering their athleticism I'd like to see more of that either way.  I also feel like Boykin doesn't need a gaping hole like many of OUr smaller backs in years past...

Oh...And the D lights it up Saturday too!

Ohio - 30
Toledo - 17

I have to go with a big OHIO victory! One defensive TD, Boykin punches one in, each of our QBs throws for a TD, and one field goal. Toledo scores one TD, but misses the extra point.

OHIO 31

Toledo 6

Everyone is talking about Boykin, I notice, and while I liked him too, I was equally impressed with Davidson. Davidson seemed more decisive, and ran much harder than I remember. I thought he looked very good. I think Ohio opens up the playbook, and we see a balanced attack, 50% passing, 50% running. If Toledo loads up on the run, they will get punished through the air, and it they focus on the pass, Ohio chews up yardage on the ground. The net result is an Ohio win, 30-13, with Ohio having 380 yards of offense, and Toledo being held to 230.

I saw it mentioned on twitter earlier in the week, that Boykin wasn't practicing.  Anybody know anything about this?  As far as I know he was just out for a day, but just checking.

I was also very impressed with Davidson. I only believe that Boykin will get more scoring opportunities because I think we will be more likely to use him in the short-yardage situations. I'll be excited to see him put his head down and bowl over some defensive players.

Davidson, on the other hand, will get his scoring opportunities by breaking out for big gains. I hope I'm right, because believing we might actually have something resembling a running game has gotten me pumped up!

And to think I was really worried about the running game!  We will be even stronger with Harden back in week 7.

I'm more concerned about Boo's arm strength and propensity for TO's than our running game.

Ditto. Both the interception and fumble last week were symptomatic of a VERY rusty QB.

Recieved the word that Boykin is now practicing and is fine.

Rusty....yeah a little......but the throw across the middle in the end zone by Boo should have been caught....with a little WD-40  I see 3 to 4 TDs from Boo..

+1

Also worried more about Bates' hand injury. I hope its 100% and not 75-85. We need his running ability. It'd be nice to see him and Boo on the field at the same time so we could finally execute "The Annexation of Puerto Rico" play I've been hearing about.
