A little bird tweeted in my ear and told me the following:

Derek Roback, of Waverly, has left Notre Dame and is now enrolled at The Ohio University.  I assume that he will not be eligible until next year, since he had signed an LOI to UND.  I believe that the school a player is transferring from can waive that in such a siutation, but that's rarely done.

More Info

If I recall correctly Mr. Roback was on Doc's SEO Players-We-Should-Get List.  Glad he finally came to his senses and enrolled at the up and coming football giant in his native hills.

Seeing as he's changed his mind twice before playing a down in college, I'll utilize the unhatched chicken rule for this one.

I'm pretty sure he still has to fulfill his one year in residency requirement. As long as he participated in practice, was officially registered in classes full-time, or attended class he must sit out a year. There are many exceptions for transfers, but I dont think he's qualifying for one. I need some more information before I can figure this one out.

Nice video.  Three things I like - 34 vertical, 28 ACT composite and on the video on the section that says "blocker" he hits at least 6 different folks on the run.

Like Andrew Sheppard said in "The American President"...." We need more people bringing us a big fish!"

Sorry, off-topic, but I had to share this.  The Texas Longhorns welcome Sam McGuffie to Rice!
