Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that Russ and Rob's recap is online at OhioBobcats.com now.

Great win for the Cats!  See you next weekend.

Not quite the quality of a OHIO production, but I found the following recap on YouTube from the Wofford guys.  15 minute recap of the game, nicely done!

Very nicely done.  As with everything connected with this little school, it's a class act.  I particularly thought the camera work was excellent.  I would love to see these guys win the FCS Championship!

You realize that was our camera work for on-field play, right? It was the same video feed as the webcast.

No disrespect to the Wofford folk, though.

No, I didn't realize that Mike.  It actually looked much better than the video feed to the scoreboard the day of the game.  In fact, the video feed to the scoreboard was unusually poor -- lots of hash.  I guess the problem  must have been between camera and scoreboard interface and not in the cameras themselves.

good recap and great vid quality. If you pause it right at 8:31 you can see the Wofford player step out of bounds on what was a semi-controversial call. You can also see the umpire in good position to make the call and he throws his hat immediately. On the replays on the live video feed we didn't get to see this angle.

that was definitely the correct call because he was not forced out of bounds. good call. what was a bad call was the reception our player had in the endzone and the ref ruled it incomplete or whatever. my wife was watching at home on your website feed and she said the replay clearly showed he had possession in the endzone and did not lose the ball until he was out of bounds. she was burning up my phone with texts after the replay!!! oh well...

Any idea on when the Wofford game video will be up?  The production on those are awesome.

I believe the call there was that he left the ground to make the catch, and thus had to control the catch to the ground.  So when the ball was jarred loose either by the ground or Posey (I think it was) the call was ruled incomplete.  Could be wrong though, going off memory here....

The catch was not completed is why the pass was ruled incomplete.  A player must "Complete" the catch, which means fully control the ball before it comes out.

yeah, there was no argument from teh player and no replay called for (this was before the fake field goal). I'm sure the coach asked the player if he caught it to determine whether to throw the flag.

Yes, I could see that the receiver went out of bounds and then came back, and it was unforced. During the game, the webcast was so bad I couldn't even tell what the controversy was, much less how it was resolved, or even what happened. Interestingly I did see the incompletion in the endzone, and it was a close call. The receiver did appear to have possession briefly, but was stripped by Posey before he could pull it in, or come down in bounds. I think that call was correct as well.

Speaking of the video feed, it was most strange that the free (pirated?) feed from channelsurfing was substantially higher quality than the paid feed from MacAccess. The channelsurfing feed broke up at times, but always had good sound. The paid feed had neither picture or sound for much of the game.
