This Eastern team has some ability on offense, the defense is a big question mark, but this game will be very very  close, hoping we don't give them there 1st win in what 17 games???

The Eastern Michigan game is a must win for Ohio,  We lose this game and Ohio won't be going Bowling, Hope we can get some guys healthy and finish these next 8 games 6 & 2 and finish the season 7& 5 and get a bowl bid somewhere. Time to make a push and it starts this Saturday.

I was there in Buffalo when we allowed the Bulls to end their losing streak in 2003. I'll be at Eastern Michigan on Saturday and I don't want to see another streak like that end. I'm with Gman. I still believe this team can go 6-2 the rest of the way or maybe even better, but obviously this is one that has to be won.

Interesting facts about EMU. Last winning season was 1995. Coaching record of Ron English at EMU (0-16). It has been exactly 15 years and 5 days since Eastern Michigan's last win against the Bobcats. EMU D gave up 73 points last week. The last 2 Ohio-EMU games have been close, decided by no more than 6 points a piece. It won't be a cakewalk but I can't visualize a loss.

EMU beat us in either 98 or 99, when we botched a snap on a potential game-tying xp. So it's been at least a little more recent than 15 years.

Even ESPN rates this a dangerous game, giving EMU the best chance of the defeateds to finally get themselves a win.

It was Oct. 16, 1999, by a 27-26 score.

I remember a game where I think we rushed for 600+ yards and passed for zero in a big win at Ypsi. I think that one was on ESPN+ as well. Or, another regional type deal under OSN.

I remember in 2002, I believe it was, when Ohio wasn't very good, but still hammered Eastern Michigan at Peden. The Bobcats had a huge halftime lead, so they didn't mind too much when the 110 got a personal foul penalty for remaining on the field too long, holding up the start of the second half.

Have you seen our play this year?  There's every reason to doubt the outcome of this game.

If we do, the K word is gonna be a big theme--as made clear by the Beefaloe post above.

As depressing as our play has been in 2010, I was kind of happy with our second half play at Marshall.  I think we get a blowout up in Ypsi.

A loss here will all but close any hopes of a bowl appearance and winning season.
Do I believe that  Eastern will win, no, but stranger things have happened.

Considering our injuries on both sides of the ball, I don't understand how anyone can predict a blow out win for us.

I don't understand how anyone can predict that Ohio will win the MAC East in basketball with the defections. Another one I can't understand is how you can say there is more student interest in basketball when the program averages 500 students a game which is less than the Club Hockey team.

I was at that 600-plus yards rushing game in Ypsi.  We had several third-and-12s and even a third-and-17 and still converted.  Man, that was fun to watch. Even EMU fans were laughing.

That was "then" and "now" is unfortunately not "then." From the sound of things, perhaps the team ought to arrive in Ypsi in Red Cross vehicle.

Wow I couldn't agree with this quote more.  I know EMU has lost like 100 straight, but does that REALLY make them dangerous?  An animal backed into a corner is dangerous, a team in the middle of a 16-game losing streak said goodbye to dangerous a long time ago...
