From the little bit I got to watch things are looking real good. Can anyone give me some insight of how the full first half went. I only watched the last 5 mins of the half.

A couple of things -- if BG's receivers stop dropping easy passes, the second half will go differently.  BG can't run on Ohio but they could chip away if they'd stop the drops.  Having said that, Ohio is very vanilla on D and could probably bring pressure if necessary.

The big thing about the first half is how well Ohio's 2-QB system is working.  Boo has played the majority of the snaps, but Bates and Boo have been swapped in and out and even on the field together, it's been extremely effective.  Bates has done very well when he's been in, consistently getting 10 yard runs, once hitting a huge pass downfield.  Davidson is running very smart, getting the tough yards when he's in there.  Offensive line controlling the LOS.  WRs blocking well too.

Remember--and I am not kidding when I say this--last week and this week we may be playing the worst two defenses in college football.

The good news is that we're responding appropriately.

anything to get some momentum and confidence, especially after losing two of our best players for the season

'kron next week.  Difficult to believe, but they're probably worse than even EMU and BG.

I don't like the points we gave up in the 2nd half today.  Too many easy big plays.  BG's receivers dropped a good number of balls, too.  And I don't see our running qb thing working that well against better teams.  Don't want Boo to get injured because good-bye passing attack if he does.  And it worked today because our blocking and play calling generated big holes for the qb's.  Remember what we saw in prior games--our running qb's aren't shifty, they don't create things on their own and the better teams didn't let us put that on them.

Oh, well,  It's good that we smashed a really lousy team today.  Keep improving.  Keep developing that O-line and let's work on the pass rush and coverage of receivers.

We're still alive.

I think our D eased up in the second half and thats why they got a couple score. The intensity just wasnt there from the D after we were up by soo much. But any day you score 40+ points thats a good offensive day.

I kind of noticed that too.  I would rather they not let up intensity because I want them to make statements each game, but at the same time I don't want them to get hurt when we are already up by 3 scores and they obviously won't get caught up.

Donovan made remarks in that light and commented on them digging into film and executing.  I think we see an absolute throat stomping against the Roo...This unit is G - double O - D  GOOD!
