I hope one of the MAC teams can pull the big upset.

At the risk of stating the obvious that Temple/NIU matchup looks like a preview of the MAC championship game.

Gimme all the 'dogs 'cept 'kron.

I think we beat BUGS, but 7.5 points is too much. I'm seeing a 35-34 ugly, turnover-filled shootout that BUGS loses on a missed XP.

Also, call me crazy, but I think EMU might finally get that win this week. It's gotta happen eventually, right? But even if they don't, +25 points against Vandy?!?!?! Vandy's offense is ranked 101st in the nation. EMU will score 3 TDs, and I don't see Vandy scoring 40+.

After NIU beats Temple and we beat BUGS, Ohio will be tied with Temple in terms of MAC loses.  As Ohio gains steam as the season progresses, it's likely that the title match up for the East will be Ohio-Temple and for the MACC Ohio-Toledo.  OK, so I'm an optimist.  There are worse things to be, so I'm told.

I also think that Boise-UT will be a lot closer than the spread.  UT is a very on and off team, if you look at their record so far this season.  Last week was on "off week" against Idaho and I suspect this week will be an "on week" against BSU.  It's probably not enough for an outright victory, but I suspect they might get within two TDs of the Purple Smurfettes.

Wow, gimme Miami and CMU's points. Has Central fallen that bad to where they're getting 24 at a subpar Va. Tech? UC hasn't impressed me enough to get 16 against Miami.

Toledo has been very off and on, but they were off this past week against Wyoming, not Idaho.

Part of the big spread could be a question at QB. The Rockets had a redshirt freshman come in and nearly lead them to a comeback after Danton had a horrible start. The job is now up for grabs this week.

My bad, you are right it was UT-WY; WMU is the one that collapsed against Idaho.  I even watched a little of that latter game on channelsurfing.net's web cast, so I have no excuse for not remembering that UT wasn't playing Idaho.  I guess all those MAC and WAC teams kind of blend together in my mind, such as it is, sometimes.

Hate to disagree with you, OCF, but I have seen Kellen Moore in person several times and on TV a lot. He just can't seem to throw incompletions. Throwing completions is in his DNA or something. 39 point spread (or Moore) is about right.

OCF:  I will give you 3:1 on the 14pt line you have on Toledo.

Wow. The line has moved to OHIO (-9). Does somebody know something we don't? Hasn't BUGS been generating a metric ass load of INTs this year, and don't we have a propensity to throw those? Sure, maybe they will start a 3rd string QB, but that shouldn't affect our ability to shoot ourselves in the foot.

This shouldn't be a trap game. But Vegas is doing its best to make it one.

I think the thing about Bowling Green is that without the turnovers, they'd be awful. They appear to be a good offensive team based on the points they've scored, but they actually are in the bottom half of the league in offense. They are last in defense by a substantial margin. If we take care of the ball, we should be just fine.

Maybe not "awful," but I'm wondering if similar isn't true about our team last year...

Bowling Green's uniforms are not predominantly green.  That's stupid.

You're on JCW.  I'll just make it 1:1 to be charitable.  The winner pays for lunch for the loser at the local restaurant of the winner's choosing.  OK?  You have to agree to show up in person and not wear a disguise.

Maybe I am being overly harsh but after seeing a few of these incredible psychics we have on this board, I think some accountability is in order:

There were several other posts that were equally bad this just had the most claims.

And this is why I don't gamble. My crystall ball has been especially off this year. I'm near the bottom in a pick 'em league that I've been near the top in the past 3 seasons. I'm blaming it on anthropogenic climate change. The increased fog in the atmosphere makes the crystall ball tougher to read.

But come on! I don't care who it is, if you give Vandy's opponent 25 points, you take the points!
