From 3-9 to 9-3. 7-game winning streak. Lose your starting QB, no problem. Well done, coach.

The amazing turnaround this year. Especially on defense game by game. This team played lights out tonite. Total domination. 9-3 7-1 MAC record and 7 in a row.

And Harris was the cavalry riding to the rescue.

And the Ohio defense? The adjective that comes to mind - ripsnortin'

+1. I bit my tongue last year and early this year. Numbers don't tell the whole story. The fact the guys love Tim I think is one reason we ended this year as we did.

I think that this is a good observation. Even when we weren't doing so well last year, and at the beginning of this year, I always heard from "informed sources" that the players just love Tim Albin.

Seriously, we lose our MAC MVP QB and our next RB on the depth chart is like some guy named Chad from Sigma Chi. What a team! They got a lot of FB left to play!

Gotta admit, last year was disappointing. But this year…WOW! Started out poorly but everyone grew up fast. Albin is probably national Coach of the year!

Agree. I would feel a little better if he were a Delt or Beta, but Sigma Chi's were always pretty tough, too.

When you factor in last season and then the four game start to this season... losing to Kent to start MAC play... the turnaround in all aspects has been amazing. Unlike any other team I have watched.

Tim is the man! Nowinsky was a great selection as DC. This entire staff has been incredible. Major hat tip to OUr head ball coach, I am proud to have Albin as the man in charge!

When was the last time the Cats were 7-1 or only a one loss MAC team?

What a turn around by this entire staff. I remember thinking after game 4 if this team had just a decent defense it would win the MAC. Well here we are! Kudos to the whole team!

Now a question for you. When was the last time that Ohio had a better record in MAC play than any other MAC team?

My confession: I was hoping for a real bad season or a really good season so we could see if TA was our guy. Very happy that the latter came true.

This has happened so quick I don't the realization of the turn around has hit. Think about half time at Ball St, the wheels could have come off and very well Ohio is sitting 7-5 right now. It wasn't until prior to Ball St that Ohio was the favorite to make it to Detroit. MAC COTY at least has to be in the bag win or lose in the MAC Championship.

And the answer is: Ohio tied for the best in-MAC record in 2006, but the last time that Ohio was alone at the top with the best in-MAC record was 1968.

With last night's win, Coach Albin now has 12 wins in his Ohio head coaching career, which moves him past Brian Knorr's 11 career wins. Of course, Albin got his 12 wins in 24 games while it took Knorr an incomprehensible 46 games to get 11. Next up: Coach Burke with 31 wins in 66 games.

Also, this means that as of today, Albin's winning percentage is 50.00%, which moves him past Coach Grobe who won 33 times in 67 games for winning percentage of 49.25%. Keep in mind that Grobe was on the sidelines for the last tie game in Ohio history which occurred in 1995, his first year. Next up on the winning percentage list:

Widdoes: 50.60%
Hess: 53.20%
Solich: 58.38%
Peden: 67.98%

*If we win the MACC next week and the subsequent bowl game, Albin's winning % would be 53.85%, passing both Widdoes and Hess.
