Let’s face it, nobody predicted a7-game winning streak after the first 4 games then the Kent loss. A defense that couldn’t stop anyone to one that stopped everyone. A quarterback that many disparaged who looks to be a legitimate NFL draft pick some day.

All I can say is that I am proud as hell to say I am an Ohio alum and fan. The skill and character of the coaching staff and the players can’t be over emphasized. For all the many years I would check the scores (“Athens, a drinking town with a football problem”)in hopes of a surprise victory just to be disappointed again, this feels in unimaginable.

I’ve unexplainably always kept the faith but this is hard to believe. Now if we can pull off the MAC championship, I can die in peace.

Oh ye of little faith. Kind of embarrassing to give up on your team so early.

CJ HARRIS ONE COOL CAT!!
His option work was fantastic.

Some work on the passing attack and MACC is doable.

Most importantly was his lack of mistakes.

And then there was the D.

Who could have imagined, after the first two home games getting lit up by opposing offenses and allowing 11TD passes in two home games, that this defense would finish the season this strong? What a turnaround by the players and coaches on the defensive side of the ball. After watching BG/Toledo last week, I was concerned this could turn into a track meet and the D simply didn't allow them to function. Stuffed the run, got great pressure on the QB, took the ball away...major kudos to that defensive unit, top to bottom!!!

CJ looks comfortable and a strong leader which is most important. But we can't sugarcoat that his throwing is nowhere near the level of Rourke. He definitely missed a few throws tonight. But he is a natural ball carrier with explosive speed, that gives us a dimension we did NOT have to that extent with Rourke.
Offense is strong enough all around to play call smart, maybe some quick slant check with QB draw options. I'm not sure he can air it out down the field into coverage on a consistent basis.

Keye Thompson & Bryce Houston were great again at Linebacker, McCrory at DE gave BG fits all night. The transformation of the secondary continues to impress.

Special night for all involved with this football team. Extra special night for senior OL Bryce Ramer, who got engaged in the post-game, on-field celebration. Congrats.

Talk about pressure. How could anyone say "no" in that setting?

From my seat, it looked like to me that long throw early when Bostic was wide open looked like a very good deep ball. It appeared that Bostic misjudged the ball and appeared to slow down like he expected it to be underthrown, then he couldn't catch back up to it. It looked like if he had kept striding it was 6.

I am still jacked up over this team and the continued improvement! This defense is scary good down to the rotating players coming into run/pass situations. I can't say enough good things about the staff, players and game preparation! Let's get that MACC men!

Must be something about football players and wanting to have an audience for marriage proposals. Jay Maupin, who played football for OHIO back in the 1960s, at one of my wife's Bexley High School Class of 1964 reunions proposed to another classmate, who accepted.

Win or lose, I'm proud to be an Ohio alumnus. The outcome of a game won't change that.

Poor attendance for such a big game. I don't think it's worth the TV money to play on Tuesday. I feel bad for the players. A Saturday 2pm game would have been close to capacity.
