Relax. We’re up two scores at the half and it’s a one score BG-Toledo game at the moment. We don’t even know how bad Rourke is hurt yet.

I got some news for you.
When a player writhes in pain like that kicking his feet it's always usually Ligaments, Tendons or Bones.
Also bad sign he's immediately in street clothes and not wrapped in ice..

Actually, he was wrapped in ice. Also, not sure what always usually means.

Thanks Skip Vosler!

He didn't look horrible after the game when he walked across the field to chat with the BSU QB.

Even best case hyperextension scenario he's not gonna be able to play in a week.

MAC title game is in about 2.5 weeks. But have to win the final game first now.

Toledo looked like a bad middle school team giving up that last gasp 42 yard TD. How many tackles did they miss? All of them apparently.

Obviously, Ohio needed Toledo to win so they would not be in a must win game next week. That would have meant extra time to try to get Rourke ready to play by Dec 3. The football gods cast the dice otherwise.

I keep seeing hyperextension thrown around here on the board. I'm confused because I though that meant the knee bends the opposite direction. He got hit from behind so I'm not sure how he could hyperextend.

We currently have the best record in the MAC. We have a great opportunity and this is why we play the games, Nostradamus.

CJ's won two big games at this point. Builds his confidence for Toledo and he has 3 extra days to prepare. I like what the staff did with CJ in this last game by feeling out the defense early to prevent mistakes before letting him loose.

What is really important to this story is how the staff adapted to CJ's strengths to running the offense from Nathan's. Tim is showing he can think out of the box, and its not a shock that him getting time to prepare and put pieces of his own staff together has produced results.

I was able to only watch part of the game but my impression was it was designed to be a prevent INT play calling for CJ. The play calling also reminded me a lot of Rourke's from last season to the gunslinger plays of this season. TA even said after the Ball St game they didn't put in any new play packages specifically for CJ. Lower risk in the passing game and more ground. That CJ's a good runner is a bonus. Better than Rourke of last year IMO.
