I hate to not blame Albin for everything, but has this defense been able to get off the field since Burrow left? Even Akron was moving it on us last year. It seems everyone just grinds it out on the 'Cats.
Something that kinda gets me about Albin though is his body language. He just looks scared/sad every time they show him on camera. I know that may not mean much to everyone here, but everyone sees that. They latch onto that negativity.
Agreed, the Bobcat leader not instilling much in the way of confidence.

Well stick a fork in them. Looks like Ohio football has completely regressed back to where we were pre-Solich.

Perhaps, we should have scheduled Bryant instead.

They mentioned on the b-cast that Duquesne's staff has a relationship with Mike Tomlin so that the Dukes can use the Steelers' facilities for weight training, etc. Sure makes a difference when you're giving out only 40 schollies.

Also ten or so of their players were recruited by D1A schools, including Penn State.

Welp, there's a point in every football season where I switch to focus on basketball because it gets bad...but this is really bad.

What an absolute embarrassment. Most likely going to be 0-4 going into MAC play, and might as well just plan for next season cause it aint happening this year.

I shudder to think about what is coming the next two weeks. Louisiana will shred this defense and probably gain 500 yards on the ground if not more. I wonder what the single-game rushing record is?

Point well taken, though I am not sure the weights at the Steelers' facility are any different in size as what we have. As far as recruiting for Duquesne go, they clearly have some athletes and were better than us on the field today.

Say what you want and make all the excuses you can come up with but there is absolutely no reason for a MAC school to lose to an FCS school at home. Just a complete embarrassment, good luck getting students to show up the rest of the season.

Say, where do I go to listen to the Bobcat news conference or does such a thing exist? Being a Bobcats fan, I have learned to fully embrace the misery as part of being a proud Ohio graduate.

I disagree--there are some FCS teams that are very comparable talent-wise. However, this is Duquesne and not North Dakota State. This is more embarrassing because it is Duquesne.

In the D's defense, a couple of those penalties were really questionable. The PI in the corner of the end zone could easily have been called uncatchable. The ball landed four or five yds out of bounds. And the roughing the passer on the Dukes' last drive was an awful call. I've never seen it called on a pass thrown by a non-QB.

Still, too many penalties kept Duquesne on the field and helped wear down the D line. A couple of key missed tackles on the last drive helped them keep it going and run the clock down.

Hard to hear that contingent that said Rogers was gonna be the difference maker this team needed to get to the next level.

It was a mistake to just hand the job to Albin and expect things would remain the same. Ohio doesn't have the money for a buyout. It's gonna be a long 4 years guys, buckle up.

This team will be one of the worst not only in the MAC but in the nation. Our only hope for wins is Akron and BG and I'm not confident in those games. No life, no leadership, no hope. It'll be a dog fight to see who's the better coach, Albin or Lichtenberg. I'd say Lichtenberg.

The more I listen to this press conference, I am kind of digging the torn tractor hat that Albin is wearing. Give him a jug of moonshine, and I am thinking: yeah, that's the Southeastern Ohio I grew up in. God, I love being a Bobcat!

Hard to blame Armani for anything that happened today. He was in for one play and was sacked when Duquesne rushed 8 or 9 and our O line couldn't handle it. Last week he was pulled after some miscommunication on a pass play resulted in an incompletion. Kurtis did the same thing late in last week's game and was intercepted, yet he played damn near the whole game today even though the offense looked like hell for three and a half quarters.

Not blaming Armani at all. The fact that he's not even seeing the field is proving that he wasn't what people thought he was. Or the coach we have in place can't use his talent properly.

Or maybe Albin has some kind of personal issue with him. Who knows? Albin just seemed to pull the plug on him rather abruptly last week.

They put way too much stock thinking he’d be the next Nathan and that’s too far from the truth now they’re stuck with him.
