All i get is a Snickers commercial, and then notice that Silverlight has crashed.

Ditto, I put a ticket in for technical assistance and now I have just given up and put a ticket in to get a refund due to their inability to provide a streaming telecast.

I bought the MAC season package, and it seems that OU reliably has more trouble with their feed than the other games.  The ball state/EMU game actually looks like a pretty good feed.  Who runs MAC Access?  A Miami grad?

Ohh, and it's 1:35 in Milwaukee, WI... and Miami still sucks.

People who buy MAC-Access are like the person who is given a cake, eats it, then gets horrible stomach pains and in the hospital realizes the cake was full of razorblades.

Then the next week you get another cake and think, well, it couldn't possibly have razorblades again. And you eat around the edges and don't find any razorblades and so you eat more and it's delicious cake. And by the time you finish eating all of it you start to feel sick again and sure enough, razorblades.

Every week you convince yourself that this is finally the delicious cake that doesn't contain razorblades and now you're in a psych ward because the hospital can't imagine anyone would be so foolish to keep eating a cake that has has always contained razorblades.

Go to ATHENSi.com, and look for the link (on the right) to WXTQ...it's working fine at the moment.

i didn't evern try mac-access today.  what would be the point of spending money for a horrible experience and then having to take time to complain in order to get refund?

Tim, some of us bought the season package, and it's paid for, so I just as well try to watch it. In fairness, once they get the feed running, it is a better picture than the free one. The mystery from week to week is how much of the game we'll miss due to difficulties getting it to run.

You could replace week with year in Tim's scenario and it still applies.  I've been on here for 4 years now, and every year people buy the MAC video feed, and every year it fails because it is apparently put together by 5th graders.

I'd understand purchasing it if it seemed evident in any way that improvements had been made, but considering the MAC site is pretty ugly and hasn't changed in forever, it seems logical that All MAC-cess is in the same boat.

Why anyone pays for it, knowing what is going to happen (because it has every year since its inception pretty much), is beyond me.

I can tell you that I personally bought it the first year it was available, and then have not purchased it again since then until this year. Improvements have been made, and I would say that the improvements have been dramatic. The first year the eCommerce portion was a disaster - you couldn't pay and expect it would reliably reflect that, that is, if you could even find the link to pay. If it did reflect that you had paid, you couldn't find the link to get the feed. Then if you got it to play, the feed was unreliable, and even when you got a picture, the picture was bad.

This year the eCommerce portion works fine, so there is no problem paying or logging in or finding the links for the game. After logging in, if you do get a picture, the picture is usually good (for a webcast). They still have some issues with feed quality and availability, but they are getting closer.

Pass on the ALL MAC ACCESS just go to channelsurfing.net. It may be a little late in being available, but it's free. While your waiting for it to come up you can listen on line to the game and always use game tracker for more statistical info on the game.
FREE IS ALWAYS GOOD!
It's only a matter of time til internet broadcasting is perfected and the costs of broadcast comes down to affordable rates for individual schools to offer it on a regular basis.

On a related note, does anyone know why 1230 AM in Columbus did not carry the game yesterday?

I was hoping to catch the game on my hour-long drive from my daughter's soccer game in Dublin back home to Newark but found 1230 carrying some national sports talk show. Just wondering if this was some glitch or is 1230 no longer carrying Bobcat games.

It is already plenty affordable for individual schools to do it, and given our basketball and volleyball streams, I'm pretty sure we would do it if the conference allowed us to.
