WOW, We are favored by 16 1/2.
I can't remember the last time we were favored by double digits.
We have covered these past 2 weeks which I think is a little unusual for us as well.

'kron is horrible.

It's time for OUr defense to pitch a shutout and to really start putting the screws on teams.  I know that we have a lot of injuries.  But we have a lot of depth to offset.  Our O can score.  But it's time to become a team that wins just because the defense is so damn tOUgh to score on.

You know, this has all the earmarks of a trap game.  Coming off an almost perfect win over BG; Miami coming up next weekend; playing maybe the only team in the country that's 100th+ in all the major offensive and defensive stats. Hope they stay focused on this game and make it the blowout it should be.

If we lose to 'kron at home on Homecoming, it will be a Very Bad Loss.  Very Bad.

I'll bet even McKinney thinks we should win this one solidly.

Not so fast Monroe.  I think I overheard Jeff talking about how Akron comes from a tough conference and has some good players and should give us a pretty good test.....  Oh, wait.....

Anyway, I want more long runs by Phil Bates.  Dude was fun to watch last weekend.

I would only worry about Akron if they were NCAA Div. II, Div. III or NAIA.

We're still working on that mall thing, Manley, but we do have our Goody's back.

Oh yeah, and bowl games, and a division title.  But, hey, enjoy your Hot Topic.

Great Bobcat Blitz piece on Travis Carrie available on the Athletics site...

Speaking of which...Just as I was commenting to my family that the BG game appeared to have been a relatively injury free day, I saw Travis leaving the field with what looked to be a pretty serious limp.  Anyone happen to have any insight?

No worries TJ will play.

P.S. He doesn't like being called Travis.

I almost feel bad for the Zips fans (almost). They seem completely demoralized and don't even think they can keep it close. They've got a new stadium they can't fill and a new coach they can't stand. Oh well, I hope they're right.

If nothing else a quick browse should reinforce OUr appreciation for OUr program (and how far it's come)!

Btw wouldn't it be great to have a real coach like Solich? "

That being said I feel for them too...Been there - Done that...Here's to NEVER looking back!

The only good Zips fan is a demoralized Zips fan.

Just wanted to congratulate Akron on being the first team mathematically ineligible for a bowl game.
