Was this the first time that Ohio has topped Miami 5 or more consecutive times?  Curiosity got the better of me and a check of the records shows that this is the third such stretch.

The first lasted 6 seasons - 1937-42.

The second lasted 5 seasons - 1960-64 and I witnessed the last two of those.

Hmmm...as a sideline, our daughter Andrea (OU '94) makes jewelry.  Wonder if she might consider a special "5-in-row-3rd-time" necklace or bracelet...
