Well this game is gonna be quite the reality check no matter what ends up happening in this last minute.

I'm hoping this is just a harmless wake-up call that doesn't need to be saved for the Buffalo game.

Boo has to be feeling very relieved right now.  That said ULL sure played like hell today.  I think  that they just plain wanted this game more but couldn't get it done.

Records of teams we've beaten:

Wofford 7-0
EMU 1-6
BG  1-6
'kron 0-7
miami sucks 4-3
Lou-La  2-5

Records of teams we've lost to:

FATMAN 4-3
columbus 6-1
stupd cow 0-6**

This is as of this moment according to yahoo, excluding the oppo's games against us.

Our strength of schedule is not large.  We should be 8-1.  We can be a pretty good team but don't appear to have an inclination to do that for more than a maximum of about 35 minutes a game.

**this is not a mistake; we actually lost to these bozos.

Yeah.  That's one way to look at it.  Or you could go with looking at it like this program has a history of losing, but now were actually winning and building a better reputation.  Winning is winning, no matter what statistics come with it.

Then don't watch if it makes you that sick.  Bottom line is that with the exception of Marshall Ohio has pounded those teams with poor records which is what a good team is supposed to do.  Then you look at today's game against another poor team, Ohio managed to throw 4 interceptions in the first half and give up two on-side kicks in the second half and still won the game.  In the past Ohio would have been on the losing side of a lopsided score.  Winners find a way to win and losers will find a way to lose.  I like to think we are developing that winners mentality.  Even against Marshall when I thought we were finished, the team scratched and clawed to almost pull it out.

I will be in the stands again next Thursday for the Buffalo game as well.  GO OHIO!!
