We just got pushed around at home by a back-up QB from a 2-5 sunbelt team that lost 21-54 to a 1-6 Western Kentucky..  Yikes.  We can certainly blame Boo for contributing his 4 first half picks, but our secondary looked like they were picking daisy pedals all day.

On a day that we faced a not-very-good opponent which was injury depleted, we had a chance to deliver a thumping.  A chance to mark ourselves as a good team, one which the home town crowd could start to get excited about--perhaps attending the next game not disguised as a lot of empty seats.

We didn't.


I have no idea where this leaves us in regard to the cries for a much better home schedule.  At this stage it looks like if we could get better competition in, then our casual play would leave us to be the ones getting whipped.  Would that build the program?

My God, you guys are such whiners. It's a long season, we'll have our ups and downs. They played very flat for most of the game but still managed to pull it out. Most years, after a first half like that, it would have been a loss. Every team, regardless of their talent, plays a game or two like this.

Our guys are winners...so have a little faith and enjoy the ride.

The problem is this game is on a short week that means so much more.  I don't think that we spent alot of time thinking about LL.  The coaches were concerned about this game. And now we concentrate on th UB game.  I bet we play a much better game.  I will take this game it is 5 straight going for 6.  Just remember kids are kids and they are only thinking MAC East.

Ohio won today. Even Nebraska, who has just beaten 2 undefeated BSC teams in a row, only won over South Dakoat State!! by a score of 17-3 or something like that.  A win is a win.

I agree with two points in this thread:

1.  All teams have off games, and this was ours in spades.

2.  We need to see more of Boykin earlier in games.
