If I were a betting man, I'd say the odds makers have not only the spread but the actual winner wrong on  two of these:  I see BSU beating the Beefs, and KSU beating the Cadets,  I also think UT will beat the spread and has a fairly good chance of winning the game.  I'm probably wrong, so maybe it's good that I don't have a Las Vegas bookie.

I'd be very surprised to see Toledo win sans Austin Dantin.

I was comparing Dantin's numbers to those of Owens. Owens was pretty good when he came in for Dantin last week against Eastern Michigan (four touchdown passes).

The good with Dantin was completing 66.1 percent of his passes. He didn't typically throw for a ot of yards (only 1,254 in nine games) and he had more interceptions (eight) than touchdowns (seven). He was a pretty good runner with 292 yards, but he averaged only 2.8 yards per carry.

Of course it is a very small sample, but Owens numbers compare favorably. In four games, he has completed 58.5 percent of his passes for 397 yards with five touchdowns and no picks. He's averaged 2.1 yards per carry on a handful of rushes.

I know Dantin had become a leader, but mabye they aren't losing as much as it seems by having to go with Owens.
