If he is actually good enough to be questionable, then I think we can assume there are no facial fractures, which is good. Unless Frank is really REALLY trying not to reveal his hand.

I also read from this that there is no suspension of any kind involved.
Great news

The odds of Boo back in for Temple don't sound particularly high if Solich is listing it as questionable. The athletic department likely hasn't decided what they are going to do with the situation or even has all the facts surrounding the matter. The coaching staff has to already be planning to move forward with Bates under center for next weeks game not knowing Boo's fate.

Why are people implying that there could be a suspension? I've never heard any account where any Ohio player did anything wrong. I'm pretty sure Boo is questionable only because he had a serious injury that required a 12-hour hospital stay.

In fact, from the MAC media call, Solich said no suspensions are likely from the event. He also said Boo would be probable for the Kent State game even if he doesn't play this week.

Based on those facts, I'd bet the chance for Boo playing this week is probably better than 50 percent. I'm glad to hear the injury isn't as serious as rumored.

The extra days of rest before the game really helps here than if it would have been a Saturday game.

Here's a guess - Boo stays "Questionable" and even ends up as a "game time" decision.  Throws Temple off as they need to prepare for two different teams.  Boo does play and the team is incredibly fired up.  Just saying...and hoping.

Apparently, it was Boo's brother who had the more serious injuries and the reports on the two brothers kind of got mixed up in the rumor mill.  Does anyone know the brother's status?  Is he still in the hospital?

IF we played on Saturday's like the good lord intended, we wouldn't be dealing with any of this malarkey.

Game time decisions are NEVER good for a football team.

Fired up rarely lasts a whole game.

Questionable could mean anything. The fact Frank is saying he anticipates Boo would play against Kent is good news in the fact this doesn't seem to be a serious injury.

In the world of coach-speak and with it so difficult to get information, who knows what anything means. I'm planning on Bates playing against Temple and would be pleasantly surprised if Boo does.

Welcome to Roger Goodell's America, where all its residents, from football players to plumbers to clergymen, are in constant fear of the hard hammer of the law (Ed Hoculi sleeper holds, for starters; mandatory stays in Tony Siragusa fart chambers the most severe) coming down upon their heads.

He is the one Orwell warned us about.

My take on Frank's use of the word "questionable" centers around the fact that this was a conference media weekly call in. He was probably answering a question on Boo's health and it was a great opportunity to be non-commital, after all the speculation on Boo's health.  I was surprised about his use of the word "probable" for the Kent game. I would have expected him to say it's too early to make that call.
I am quite sure that things will begin to surface to give us more details on the incident.  Just the fact that the police have basically dropped the investigation tells you enough about the entire ordeal. Fortunately, for all parties involved it wasn't more serious.
I am also sure that there will be some leaks comming out of practice as we lead up to the Temple game.

This is the best news we've had since this came down Saturday morning.  Even if Solich is blowing smoke to keep Temple guessing, Boo's injuries don't appear to be nearly as severe as we'd been led to believe this weekend.  Let's hope Boo can heal up quickly and has no ill effects from all this.

If Solich isn't blowing smoke, it would seem that Bates would start and Boo might be available if needed.

As for suspensions, it may take weeks for the prosecutor to sort everything out, so if there's any punishment to be levied against players, it would likely come next year, and not this season.
