I am so sorry to hear about what happened to Boo. I wish him a speedy and full recovery.

It looks like the future is now and the team must pull together and learn to be productive with Bates.
I feel that the snaps he has had through the year will pay huge dividends here. Also, this experience will be a positive carry over to next season.
That said, the Temple game will boil down to what wins championships. Defense.

Don't for a minute count out this Bobcat team or the coaching staff. The mountain just got a little steeper but that is all.

The Temple game will boil down to what wins championships. Defense.

It looks like we are now one play/injury away from burning the planned redshirt year for Tyler Tettleton.

I believe Coach Solich said it will be Snyder. He was asked at a media event and said if he needed a third QB early in the season it would be Tettleton, but if it was later in the year it would be Snyder. This question and answer goes back to week 3 or 4 of the season so perhaps Frank's assessment would be different today.
It may be a Bates and Snyder combination. i have been told that Snyder may have the best arm of all of our QB's.

We gotta score points against Temple. They have an offense are our running game isn't that powerfull. Boo atleast made us balanced. The problem is the Temple will key on Bates and force him to beat us in the air.  Unless our o-line totally blow open holes for Bates to run we are in trouble.

As it has gone with quarterbacks over the past decade or so they always seem 1 decent injury away from a medical redshirt. Theo Scott played 2 in 3 here as did BooJackson. The program I believe is becoming strategic with the whole concept of medical redshirt, using it if the probablity is high that a player will miss 1/2 season or more with a significant injury. That said, who's redshirt do oou burn, Tettleton's or Snyder's. I would start first by determining who is the better quarterback for the team in a game situation. If all things are equal you may as well get Snyder going figuring that the odds are good for a medical redshirt down the road than more so than Tettleton who has less years to play. The arm strength comparison that people keep making is moot. Who is better at reading defenses? What is the running ability like? Comfortable with the playbook?  You have to assume that either guy has at least adequate arm strength or else he wouldn't have been recruited.

After holding Tettleton out all year to get the red shirt, there is no way that Frank will waste the year by running him out there when Bates gets dinged up.  It will be Snyder in the back-up role, and with Bates multiple hurts.....expect to see Snyder in there some next Tuesday.

I've been told it's Snyder, and he will play.

As Optimist has pointed out, this question was answered early on this season.  The backup will be Tettleton early in the season, and Snyder late.

I think game #11 qualifies as late.

Here's to hoping Boo is OK -- especially on a personal level.  Football comes second.

This reminds me of the Pineapple Bowl when Bo Whitley got out of his wheel chair to lead the screaming eagles to victory.  I have a feeling we wont know for sure until next Tuesday.

Great reference. I've been thinking of that episode throughout this whole incident.
