You are backing me into a corner when you say things like "Tim Deruyter is also one of the smartest guys you will ever meet, and can make a machine do about anything you want." How can I resist responding to such an unintentionally hilarious sentence?

And for the equally unbelievable assertion that Troy Calhoun and Tim Deruyter BOTH scored nearly perfect SAT scores...Prove it old man.

LOL, do you know either person?  Have you even read their bio's on their background?  And if you get backed into a corner by me saying someone is one of the smartest guys you'll ever meet, you must be pretty fragile.  I need to prove nothing to you.

For what its worth I can distinctly remember after the shootings at Kent State that my Dad and a bunch of other faculty were recruited to wear green arm bands and "guard" the classroom buildings and labs during the ensuing campus unrest.  They were out all night if memory serves.

Maybe it was because they were all WW II vets, but sometimes faculty too goes above and beyond the call.

When Gene Thrailkill came back to OU this quarter to talk about his experience as the band director here before finding renown at Oklahoma, he talked about faculty and music students guarding the Music Building because it was new and they were so proud of it that they refused to allow anything to be vandalized.  They were outside around the clock in shifts.  Crazy.
