I like to listen to intelligent sports talk shows yet today at 4:04 I had the misfortune of listening to 1 minute of the most disrespectful idiotic tripe in my life. Ricordati and Torgerson on 97.1 at about 5 till 4 said that at 4:04 that they would have news about the Ohio QB injured Friday night.

At first I thought maybe some informative insightful info would be forthcoming but here's what happened.  I checked my clock and they spent one minute on the incident. All they did was read a blog paragraph from channel 10 news or someplace and then simply did Frank jokes.....Frank was close to the scene because he was passed out in the back....Frank told the football team to go home so he could go in.

What a bunch of bozos.

Those ass clowns are un-listenable.

Their lack of sports knowledge is incredible. For the life of me, I have NO earthly idea how Torgerson has a job on radio. He's a buffoon of the first caliber. Ricordati is ever so slightly better, but that's like being the tallest midget. Together they are boring and un-interesting, which is the complete opposite of how they TRY and portray themselves.

Two no-talent jackals. They'll be working at the Citgo before you know it.

I listen to them.  Nothing like screaming at the radio for the entire drive home to get out all the frustrations of the day before I go home to the wife and kid.

I used to not mind their banter, but I have started to get sick of their lack of facts.  They will just spout all kinds of crap, whether its true or not.  If your job is to talk about sports I expect you or the people that work under you to do a bit of due diligence to make sure you aren't just spouting inaccuracies.

97.1's collective lack of basic broadcasting / journalistic competency is the base reason I now have a Sirius account.  They are comical market serving lemmings...Nothing more.

If you're after insightful and accurate college sports news I HIGHLY recommend Bill King on Sirius's Rivals Radio.  Just a flat out excellent show...

During football season, particularly, I avoid Cowtown media like the plague.  Fortunately, in the days of cable TV and satellite radio that gets easier every year.  The one exception is after an A&M loss.  Then, I tune in on purpose just to hear all the whining, excuse making, and general gnashing of teeth.

I've called into this show so many times (some on the air, some not) to complain/debate, that the producer won't even take my calls anymore.  I think I can stomach these two hacks less than Rush. The sheep in central Ohio get what they deserve.
