So a Miami loss at Akron tonight clinches the division?

Pretty easy to do when Miami is on the other sideline.

Unfortunately, we will probably be rooting for Temple to beat Miami on Nov. 23rd, b/c Akron is the only thing that sucks nearly as much as that Black Hole in Oxford.

I will never root for Akron in any endeavor.  Biggest bunch of scumbags in the league.

At least Miami is a legitimate, respected institution.  Akron is a glorified community college.  An acquaintance is now Akron's sports marketing instructor. He used to work for a bowling association.

I agree, that might offend Dick Schorr the former host of Bowling for Dollars!

Dysert is out 4-6 weeks with a lacerated spleen per ESPN.  Can't see them winning out w/o him.

That sounds horrendously unpleasant.

I dunno... Akron is heinous. Miami might be able to beat them with 10 on offense.

Hope the young man heals, tough injury.  Miami is not as good without him, what is the backup like?

I thought about it, and I'm rooting for a 0-0 tie. That will be tough, with overtimes, but I'd love it.

I want Miami to beat Akron, and here's why-

- I want Miami to play Temple next Tues thinking they still have a chance to win the East.
- I want Miami to then beat Temple, giving them even more hope to think they can win the East. Plus watching Temple drop to 2-27 against bowl eligible teams since signing with the MAC would be glorious.
- And finally, I want Miami fans to spend the day after Thanksgiving hoping for a Kent State victory that never comes, followed by the realization that the only reason they aren't going to the MACC is because they got routed by OHIO, on their home field, during their homecoming.

Merry Xmas Miami.

As much as I like to rely on myself to get the job done...

I'd like to have a calm stomach for Thanksgiving dinner. And last year I didn't.

Be careful what you wish for. Miami winning out and a less than stellar game at Kan't would give them the
East championship.

I'm rooting for Akron. I don't like to see anyone go winless. Plus, a loss to Akron would give Miami more pain than a loss to Temple.

How can a bar bouncer lacerate your spleen?
