at the beginning of the season that Ohio would be a win away from clinching the MAC East with Noah Keller, LaVon Brazill and Gerald Moore on the sideline, out for the season.

I believe a large majority of you would have wrote the season, along with any chance for the MAC East title off.  Many of you jumped on the coaching staff after the Toledo game and were ready to give up on this team even before the above mentioned three were done for the season!  Let's give our coaching staff some props on this board, for once, and recognize them for an outstanding job of keeping this team going despite injuries and early set backs.

Well said.

Now what if I told you that all 3 would be on the 2011 team?

I give full credit fo turning it around from 1-3.  But I don't forgive the first four games in which we often did not have the right guy at qb, among other questionables--a period in which the lead post here seems to acknowledge that we basically had available some of the fine players who will, fortunately, be around next year.

Yes, it's okay now.  But let's not fully revise history.  My opinion of the beginning hasn't changed based on later events.

The game plan for this team has changed dramatically since week 4.  Back then, it was plain vanilla play calling, and I think most of us felt that if things didn't change, it would be another three or four win season.  Things have opened up a lot since then, and they're looking more and more like what we expected this year.

wasn't boo quoted that he could not even throw a forward pass until middle of the Marshall game... then something clicked and he magically could throw again...

You are correct Monroe, but let me add that we would be undefeated if we used a fullback and ran the hurry up.

There is my attempt at humor.

Wow, you two have come up with a new offensive approach. I've never seen the hurry up run in combination with full back gives up the middle. Pound it at them, and no huddle between snaps. If you think you could wear a team down, that might be interesting.
