Temple Football 21-15 v MAC, 12-2 last 2 years

Temple Football 1-1 v. FCS last 2 years = 50% winning percentage
Ohio Football 2-0 v. FCS last 2 years = 100% winning percentage

See what I did there? I pulled out random stats to make it look like we're twice as good as you. Funny how that's possible.... And I didn't even need to search the internet for a picture to make my point.

Temple leads the MAC in avg attendance. This board's admin should sen me a check everytime I have to school a bobcat for an innaccurate remark. A simple thank you would suffice though, I've experienced your regional attractions and you need a new Wendy's.

Wow...Philadelphia, PA beat out Athens, OH by an average of 2285 per game.  Now THAT's an impressive stat considering the differences in population density.

I'm happy to know you at least got to experience what a real colllege town is...Even if just for a short visit.  Athens's regional attractions serve us very well thank you...I just wish we had the same access you do to folks willing to wash our windshields at every stop light.  Oh well...We can't all be the shining metropolis that Filthadelphia is...

How long before this overrated circus is out of the MAC and on their way to bigger and better things to live in the basement for years to come? This person is The Gold Medal jock sniffer of all time.

35-17 - you lost.

You're leading the MAC in attendance by a whopping margin of less than 900 tickets sold per game, with a stunning total of 21,331.  Congrats on that amazing accomplishment.  However, that doesn't mean you'll pull the same crowd for a Tuesday night game in mid-November.

Hey MH if you want to see somebody fill up a stadium take the short trip down I-95 to Newark. We don't need an NFL stadium to average 20,000 a game.

It's too bad UD and Temple don't play. It would have been great to see you get trounced by OHIO and Delaware in the same season!

My favorite random number-

Temple's record (2006-2009) vs. teams with winning records: 1-23.

Are any of you associates even coming or do you all have to work the swing shift? Surely there is at least one department manager with scheduling authority here...

Spending plenty of hours on an opponents message board trash talking. I guess that's all a Temple degree is worth. Mean while, I'll be happy to watch the owls get torn apart by my bobcats in my nice and warm dorm room while you freeze your ass off as you watch your owls get destroyed. Sounds like a hoot (bonus points for using puns?), quick someone pass the green kool-aid!

Owls are so dumb they hit green PARKED vehicles! Expecting a large number of these occurrences on tuesday. Oh wait the green will be moving so most likely they'll only be getting hit and watching the green run into their green endzone

Haven't posted on here in a while (just been reading) but this joker compelled me to do so. Gotta love trolls.

I enjoy that he's ignoring every fact being posted (Temples record against winning teams, OU and their lack of an appearance in a MACC) only to respond by posting more photos and clamoring for Frank to hold Boo out of the game.

Temple doesn't do anything particularly well offensively and OU has a dominant front 4. It's obviously easier with Boo but even without him, Ohio's defense should keep them in the game.

The Owls have had some pretty average QB play this season (12 TD's, 9 INT's), so if the Bobcats can be stout against the run (which they definitely have been), Temple's offense isn't going to be on the field very long.

Ohio has the best special teams, so if the defense shows up, they could offset Boo potentially being out. I'm not a doctor but I would think 10 days is enough time to recover from a mild concussion IF that's his only injury? But who knows.

Should be interesting.  Temple was handled by the last good team they played (NIU) and struggled at home against BGSU. It's hard to get a handle on exactly how good they are.

Been a long time reader of this site, and now is a great time to officially join the community.

Drawing an average of 21,000 fans per game in the FBS level of Division 1, in one of the most densely populated areas in the country, is PATHETIC.  Ohio University is in one of the least populated areas of Ohio, and we draw 2,000 less fans a game.

That looks bad for you.

PS, i would go to the OU-Temple game a week from today, but I have a final on the following Thursday, and think it would be better used studying and not driving from Athens to Philly and back Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hey everybody! Look at me! I can quote random and pointless things from that paper too!
  • ''What we always preach is 365-for-14,'' Temple coach Al Golden said. ''You have 365 days of work for 14 opportunities.
You can preach that all you want, but have you ever had 14 opportunities in football?  You don't have to look because it's never happened.

I heard the temple "O" may feature a new secret weapon in the wake of the absence of BP...

I can't wait to see their "unmistakable swagger" in their pudding pop offense....

Straight from the owl's mouth, MH55:

"And everytime Temple pushes Ohio down the field and demonstrates that we have a highly improved college football team, we will kick the extra point into a sea of sparsely populated empty green seats. All on national television reinforcing the incorrect message, "Nobody goes to Temple so, why should I? "

Even he/she/it says their attendance sucks, but comes on here bragging about it. Hey, whatever makes you feel better loser.

Oh,  and you really pushed OHIO up and down the field last year with that improved college football team.

roflcopter. great find.

I skimmed through that thread and found this top 10 list of how to improve their attendance from another Temple Tot-

1. Win the rest of our games this year including a bowl game.
2. Get out of the MAC and into a BCS conference.
3. Bring in "name" OOC opponents ala Penn State to the Linc
4. Be competitive in a BCS conference so at the very least we go to a meaningful bowl game every year.
5. Get on national TV
6. Get out of the MAC.
7. Have the local media publicize us on TV and radio
8. Have the Inky and the DN make us the lead story and not Penn State
9. Don't have any weekday night games.
10.
Did I mention we need to get out of the MAC?

This is a team that has already been kicked out of the Big East, is having only its 2nd winning season in 30 years, is 1- 23 against opponents with winning records since signing with the MAC, has never won a MAC East title (nevermind a MAC Championship), and went to their first bowl game ever last year and lost. And they think they're too good for the MAC? hahahahahaha.
