Finn was mobile, strong, fast, quick and an excellent runner and passer. Not hobbled by an injury in the least. As I said earlier, I was afraid that Toledo was rope-a-doping us. They played their last two regular season games like an NFL team that had clinched their division -- resting key players and giving backups a chance. Today they were clearly the better team. They controlled the line of scrimmage on both offense and defense. We might have had a fighting chance with Rourke, because our defense kept us in the game with key stops and UT shot themselves in the foot with penalties.

With the improvement this team showed this year, and with some key transfers to bolster up the OL and DL, I think we can take it all next year. Sixth time will be the charm!

Edit: As a Cub fan, I had years of practice saying, "Wait 'til next year." But next year did finally come in 2016. OHIO will have its day. To put things in perspective, Iowa State has not won the Big 6-8-12 championship since 1912, and Indiana and Minnesota haven't won a B1G title since they ended up in a three-way tie with Purdue in 1967.

I took the "Finn is hurt, Gleason will play too" bait hook line and sinker.

Finn didn't look hurt in the slightest. On the first play of the drive I realized this.

He didn't even look hurt when he got blasted by the defense as I thought he might.

Not at all. After one of his scrambles, he had a hard slide into the turf. Didn't ever seen in pain and/or hurt.

I think the biggest myth in BA history was that Rourke had some level of sprain and would be evaluated during practice.

He still only put 17 points on the scoreboard though, and 7 were controversial. I would have thought we’d win if told before the game that Toledo only scores 17.

Well, several of their drives were stalled by penalties. That's one thing that I've noticed is that Albin's teams do not commit many penalities. I don't have the figures in front of me, but it seems that Frank's teams were more penalty-prone.
