2006 team was defense with heart and an ok offense. Good enough to grind out the division but overmatched in the championship game. 2022 is an athletic defense and explosive offense. Its a team built for a conference championship.

I needed a good laugh! Talk about wild speculation. When I read this thread I realize the popularity of conspiracy theories.

Lots of folks thinking it is Bronco Mendenhall! They could do worse.

Sadly LC, it’s society today, some people just can’t be happy with success.

Had to be a long shot at Nebraska from the beginning despite the Frank connection. Maybe he got a call but it looks like Rhule is their guy.
I could see Albin getting some interest from schools like Tulane or Coastal Carolina. Those HCs have been hot names for jobs like at Georgia Tech and I could see them moving on. More likely Albin leaves for a better G5 job than a P5 job, right?

Seems like Tulane or ECU would be a lateral move.

he was never in consideration for nebraska. rhule was always the name. he would not have been the alternative.

The Nebraska job has proven to be a man eater!
I think TA may look elsewhere someday, but he is too smart to go through that Cornhusker career train wreck.

Looks like Nebraska isn't in the cards.
Wonder if any AAC schools would give Coach A. a look?
They seem to pay a lot more $$ than the MAC.

I have a feeling that TA won't make a jump for a slightly better head coaching gig. He was here for many years as an OC when he probably could've taken a similar path up. I'm about the same age and I know that I know I am less likely to take a moderate upward career step than I was 10-15 years ago. I wouldn't want to risk failing in two years for only a 25% raise. However, double my pay and I'm gone. If he leaves I would guess it would be for a chance at a Wake Forest/Duke type gig--something that lets him never worry about money again.
