Everything I’ve read was just CMU/Ball State

I didn't think NIU had anything to do with Ohio reaching the MACC.
Sounds like the guys on TV disagree. Just confirmed. OU out.

With that said hilarious “defense” there.
Confirmed by who? I'm not sure I trust these TV guys.

What's on the MAC site suggests the Kent State game didn't matter. Scenario 8 still has us with a chance:

If in fact NIU losing to Kent eliminates OUr chances, then I say good riddance to the Huskies. Have fun in your new conference.

The guys on TV don't know.
It might very well mean that we're eliminated, but that won't be known until the blackbox computer rankings come out Sunday morning (assuming Ball State beats Miami)

Note: just confirmed by the on-screen talking heads, who were corrected by the MAC office

At some points throughout this season, there was always something "off" about our mentality. Playcalling was an issue too.

Just run it and run out the clock. Don't overthink this.

Go for it. No way they’re really gonna let the defense go out there and win this?

29 seconds is too much time. Lol

8-4 finish. I predicted that before the season began, so I got something right.

Sieh doesn't fumble at the EOH and this game isn't as exciting. And, of course, should've run even more in the 2nd half with Parker's current passing struggles.

Can't believe a loss to Balz State prevents, I think, us from a repeat MAC title. As for the bowl game, expect to see a bunch of kids but hopefully Sieh decides to play.

A good win on the road. We will take it. And no we are not out. We need CMU to beat Toledo and Ball State to beat Miami. If that happens we get the Analytics ranking over CMU.

Playing what ifs; Okay, armchair coaches. Had OHIIO been up by one more point would you have taken a safety instead of punting the ball to give Buffalo the ball with time for only a play or two instead of several like they had?

You could go into punt formation and tell everyone on the line to grab and tackle their guy. The punter races backwards into the end zone taking time and then runs around in the end zone and at the last moment simply steps out the back.

The holding penalties if accepted by Buffalo would move the ball back 10 yards and you could do it all again and they would get the ball back with even less time. Or they take the safety but the punter should have been able to run off 10-18 seconds if he had been good at not getting "creamed" as a little kid playing backyard games with his pals.

Okay. That was one of the funniest FGs we ever made. 31-19.
3rd & 4 in the redzone the offense should have drawn up two running plays instead of taking the FG. Instead one passing play incomplete and then kicking the FG to give Buffalo maximum time with the ball. At worst Ohio turns it over on downs at the 12 and Buffalo doesn't have an opportunity to return the ball on kick off.

I was clearly wrong about the officiating and therefore apologize to BA, for my stupid thought. The officiating was clearly even despite OU trying to give another game away. Now my Bucknuts beat that team up North!

Is that a cause, or an effect? In other words, is it that when Ohio doesn't lean on him hard, they lose? Or is it that when they are losing, they are getting less plays, and have more need to pass because they are behind?

That rule actually has a penalty so severe that no coach has tried it since that loophole was closed. Officials can award points and put time back on a clock. Worked well until logic prevailed. Muck like purposely playing 12 players to burn time.
