Are the Bobcats required to go to one of the MAC tie-in bowls if they finish in the top three of the conference? Or can they accept a bid to a different bowl?

Well, there are no requirements. The MAC bowls get to pick in a certain order and teams can decline. But they usually play it safe and accept the bid offered.
