We're 13-2 MAC regular season 2009 and 2010 with one to go (beat kents!!!).  Makes me wonder which of OUr lads will get recognition.  I'm betting not many, that instead much of All-MAC will go to NIU, Temples, miami sucks and such.

More incentive for us.

We should get a lot of recognition on our lines. Definitely Gatling, Flading and Herman. I think Notestine, Hodge and Williamson and even Carl Jones (even as a backup!) also are deserving and maybe Allen on the offensive line. I think Fletcher and Posey will get recognized. McCrae and Thompson, as well as Boo Jackson, should. I like what Chad Clemens has done too. And of course Weller and Hershey.

A lot of deserving guys, but who know who will get the recognition they deserve.

The upcoming games will determine who deserves recognition. You have mentioned those most likely. Over the next three games I would expect Riley Dunlop and Travis Carrie to make some important plays that may bring them some attention.

There's a case for Franshaw as second or even first team: second in points responsible for (passing and rushing) and second in passing efficiency.

We have sort of a "no-name offense": lots of good, solid players but no one really spectacular who puts up big numbers week in and week out.  I would guess the O line would have three or four named all-MAC.

On D, Gatling and Williamson come to mind first.  Fletcher should be there, too but he's been rather quiet with the INTs over the past six or seven games.

Hershey should be on special teams.  I'm not sure about Weller; he's been a bit erratic lately.

Youse guys are right in that we have a lot of good players but not really that many who stand out out.  Ties back in to how our recruiting classes are regarded--not well, so either the judgment on that is way off and/or there's some fine player development going on.

I still think that we'll be under-repesented.  For no good reason.

I think it's because Solich recruits team players who have enough talent to fill specific roles -- then develops the talent beyond expectations -- instead of stars who have to have the spotlight.
