I don't know how you can say that, given the last year this athletic department has had.

"Law of Nature" means something immutable.  This team punched Temple in the mouth last year in the season finale when a win meant they went to Detroit.  They did the same to Temple again this year.  Basketball charged through the tournament in March then took out Georgetown.  Volleyball is still in the middle of a dynasty.

Come on, this loss sucked, but to say you're always let down is completely disingenuous.

Win vs Temple in 09 got me believing only to see: Gut punch in Detroit.

Hoops was a great year but in the past decade it was the exception, and not the rule.

I'll admit that "Law of Nature" was a little strong so in the future, I will change the slogan and instead say:

Ohio Athletics = Your high hopes are more likely than not to result in a gut punch.

+1 to Dragon.

Today is a kick in the nuts. But it's not the dark ages.

OK.  I didn't expect to beat CMU, so that didn't really count as a gut punch, but Marshall was pretty disheartening...

I think most fan bases can say that.  Even if our teams don't win, we're still OHIO, and that's a pretty great thing to be.

We are all just extremely disappointed. When you are winning more than losing it makes any loss tough. We are always wanting more but sometimes you just don't get it. The hardest part is our handing it to the Redsucks but they deserve it for playing well when they had to.
