Sorry about last night guys.... at least you can take solace in the fact that we left a huge steaming dump on the middle of the Miami (OH) stadium.

This is one of my favorite posts on this board in a while.

You're slowly making up for the damage MH did to Temple's rep in my mind.

MH did way to much damage to give Temple any kind of respect in my mind. Their team is who I thought they were last night. They beat up on the bottom of our conference again to set up a big game against us for the MAC East. We wax them again. Then they don't even bother to show up last night in Oxford. Then their fans wonder how they get beat by these lowly MAC schools. They have no class and their program has yet to register any relevance with anybody. They need a coaching change in the worst way.

I agree that MH55 did accomplish something. He so completely eliminated any respect of Temple that he actually got Ohio fans to root for Miami in a game where a Miami win could possibly be detrimental to Ohio's championship hopes. It is nice to see that not all Temple fans are like MH55, though.

Agreed. Is all of this Temple hate coming from MH55, or is there some other source(s)?

Each fan leaves impressions behind wherever he goes. The more places he goes, and the more people he comes in contact with, the more people he affects., whether for good or for ill.

A few links were posted to some Temple boards, too, and a quick click or two showed that he was not atypical. Furthermore, the Temple sideline dance, taunting foes, showed that the lack of class did not simply start from the fan base.

Now that is funny.

Yes, an extremely sophmoric poster appears here every once and awhile and sours all of us on Temple.

But, if you are level headed, you'll be treated nicely on here.

Man, what happened to you guys?

Agreed with L.C.  MH got my dislike started and then found out where he got it from by watching the way the players act on the sidelines both before and during the game. I give you props though for continuing to dance on the sidesline even after we have the game well in hand.

Exactly. Some schools do care what others think of them and try to encourage their fans to be polite, and use sports to spread a favorable impression, while others don't care. I'm not telling you which path is right for you. A recent example of a school that left Ohio with a very favorable impression was Wofford, a school few knew anything about prior to their visit. In the end, though, the fans of all schools leave an impression behind, and the less they care about that impression, the less likely it is to be favorable.

I fully agree!  - Almost everytime I'm at a home game, i look to visiting fans section to see only a handful of folks, and think back to the great following of people that came all the way from Wyoming to support their team.

Anyone who reads the various MAC blogs has seen the attitude that Temple fans have regarding the rest of the teams in the MAC. The attitude that "we're only playing you lowly MAC teams until we are offered a better conference", and "we have a Heisman candidate", and "we place more players in the NFL draft", the list goes on and on.

There's nothing wrong with talking your team or players up, but I've seen and heard way to many comments from Owls fans that make them come across as cocky buffoons. They actually remind me of Rutgers fans after they had a couple of good years. Now that they are under performing and those fans got a dose of reality the silence is deafening.

Yes, they were very nice on this board and also the UVA board a few years ago when they played.  I enjoyed meeting some of their fans in Athens.

OMG! First it was "the Cos" ... and now "TUVG" ... Temple University: Cradle of Comedians

Video Guy, the "fowl flops" are a serving of motivation for OUr 'Cats.

And frankly, if we are able to defeat Kent, the win will be even sweeter now owing to its impact on Fiami.

I am probably one of the few here who looked forward to MH55's posts(and the retorts from our faithful).  You have to admit he showed some creativity versus the slobbish drivel that trolls from other schools(read Marshall) spew.  Highly disappointed he didn't have the courage to post after we kicked the crap out of his team however.

I guess its a geographical thing... but one word of advice... don't ever come to Philly or NY for a game if you can't take an insult.

I don't think you would survive if you take message board taunts so seriously.

The dancing/chanting on the sideline is supposed to keep the teams energy up and involved in the game. No taunting intended.. I personally hate it and think our slide actually began once they started doing it because I don't see how you can focus.

The sideline antics of Temple are something you'd expect from a girls high school softball team. Seeing as how Temple "played" last nite,  a girls high school softball team would have have been a tougher foe for the Red-politically correct whatever they call themselves! And with all due respect TUVideo guy, I think the Owls themselves were the "huge steaming dump" in the middle of the stadium last night . Beyond an embarrassing display.

It is funny because he did post on Miami's board after their game wishing that we lose so that Miami goes on.  I guess he hates us the most.

Most of my guys are either too naturally polite or too well schooled in the Americans with Disabilities Act to give mh55 the verbal disemboweling his tired act deserves.  Y'all still seem to have more energy for this sort of thing.

Happy Thanksgiving to all hereabouts, but you realize, of course, that I am honor-bound to root for your destruction on Friday.

Best personal regards,
DG
