Look at is this way I am upset that we layed a big egg.  At least we had an egg to lay.  Not too long ago we were the bottom feeders of our conference.  It just really sucks to get beat by Kent when after Temple we were all but a sure lock for the big MAC game.  Now Miama gets tp gp instead of us.  God please have the Buckeyes get beat that might make the pain go away. 

Losing happens. But we played like a team that wasn't prepared and we didn't hit back once we got punched. We played like we had already clinched the division and the ticket to Detroit had already been handed to us. That's what's so hard to accept.

   

Ohio beat Miami and Temple. No, these are not BCS powerhouse teams. However, this was far better than what we at Ohio have come to expect for the past 40 years. I began watching the Bobcats when I became a student in the 1980's. Believe me, I have sat through rain, snow, cold and everything in between, just to see the Cats lose in the 4th quarter nearly every time. We could not buy a win over the worst of the worst MAC teams. So put this season in perspective. Next to most of the previous 150+ years of OHIO football, this has been a pretty good season. Like it or not. I've lived in Wisconsin for the past 15 years so I don't know what is going on in Athens as far as trying to attract fans etc. I do know that when I see a game on television the stadium is usually more empty than full. Why do the students, alumni and people of souteastern Ohio deserve anything better than what we have? OHIO's budget is only a fraction of that of BCS schools like State, but we think we should go out on the field and kick their ass. Really? Is that how it works? Perhaps when we can put 20,000 butts in Pedan Stadium week in week out, then we can have expectations. We are getting far more out of this team than what we pay for. Too bad if that hurts anyones feelings. We are exceeding expectations.   

AAAAAAGGGHHH! what a tough pill to swallow, but what can we do theres always next year to be able to get it done.

The guy I called a jackass, was telling us Ohio can't recruit because our students are drunks that are too busy cheering for Ohio State. I said it was ignorant and called him a jackass, which he is for making that comment. All of a sudden, I'm a target for defending Athens and the school. Odd.

If you want to take your anger about the Kent game out on me, because I tell you the truth about our lackluster wins - fine. But, I'm not going to sit here and cry alligator tears about not playing in the MAC Title game, because frankly - we didn't deserve it.

Sure it was a great ride. There were many downs I agree but there were also many ups. We are talking about young student athletes not seasoned professionals. We need to give them a break when it comes to having an off game.
I stand by this team win or lose.
I am sure glad the love is always the smartest guy in he room.
