They are 2010 East Division Champions courtesy of the Ohio football team's pathetic effort  today.

Makes me want to puke.  Im sorry but I am just not sold on them even after their 7-1 season.  I think they're about to get destroyed against NIU and in the bowl game.

I think you're correct but then We would have been destroyed by NIU as well. Sorry but I'm going to have to root for the Redhawks  even being an Ohio grad.

Mike Haywood could be in line for votes in National Coach of the year honors.

Because I want to see someone upset NIU and I would prefer an Ohio team do it.

This could be our best shot at getting Haywood out at Miami.

Go Huskies. Simply because they are the best team in the MAC. A ranked MAC team winning a bowl is good for the conference.

Not to sound like a broken record, but why?  NIU beating Miami and winning their bowl game would get them in the top 20 most likely.

The same thing was said of Miami before the Temple game, there was no way they were going to beat Temple with a 3rd string QB.  Well, they beat Temple more convincingly than we did.  Miami's simply the better team this year.  I know we beat them, but a MAC season is 8 games, not one.  Over the course of the season they won the games they needed to win (playing basically the same MAC schedule) and we didn't.  End of discussion.

I hope Northern Illinois wins out too as I think they are the class of the MAC this year.  But Miami's been underestimated every game and they just keep on winning.

After pasting EMU 71-3 today (a team Fiami beat 28-21), NIU has put up 195 points in the last three games (against Toledo, BSU and EMU) -- not far from the b-ball team's average.  Expect more of the same Friday.

Five reasons I won't root for Miami.

1.  I hate Miami.
2.  I want to see NIU rep the MAC and gain us some respect, and not lay an egg like Ball State in 08.
3.  I REALLY, really, really, hate Miami.
4.  All the students in Oxford will be at the hockey game anyway.
5.   Red is the color of menstration.

I hope Miami gets destroyed by NIU and right after the game Detroit implodes into hell where it belongs.

A big win for NIU in the MACC and a nice bowl with a W (which I think they're the team most capable of -- no rocket science there) will do a lot more than a Miami upset for the conference in the public mindset.
