As long as our boys decide to show up it should be a great game.

I'm very intrigued by this game.  Troy has always been competitive no matter who they play in years past, and obviously in conference play as evident with their 5 straight conference titles.   MAC fans will argue (as I'm sure Sun Belt fans will as well) that our conference is better however whenever teams from these conferences match up it's typically a good competitive game.  I'm definitely excited about this match up and am hoping to make this trip down to the big easy!

So what is yalls teams strengths and weaknesses? Troy for example has been weak in the Secondary due to youth. Our strength would probably be our QB. As yall may or may not have watched our game against Central Michigan our QB Levi Brown was every bit as good as Dan Lafever. The year we have a freshman QB named Corey Robinson, He has been an outstanding QB so far with us. He will break records at Troy thats for sure!

Atlanta Trojan - get ready for a mixed bag on this site. Some here predicted a "long year" for the program and continue to frown upon our non-conference scheduling and O Coordinator.
We live in the shadow of the most over rated college program in the country - The Luckeyes of Columbus, which a small few follow closer than their Alma Mater.
While there is truth to some of the criticisms, you may look at this board and see more negative fans than you think.
IMO - the D-line is our strength. All seniors who have really played well at times. We lost 2 Senior Pre-Season All-Americans. Both of which were THE key players on both sides of the ball (Noah Keller- MLB and Levon Brazill - WR). In addition, we lost a Freshman All-American safety in Gerald Moore.
Our Offensive Line has been all over the place this year with the last conf game against an inferior opponent a terrible performance considering what was on the line.
I love our head coach and the staff he has put in place. If you do not know, Frank Solich was long time player and coach at Nebraska. He coached them in the National Title Game in 2001.
Our program was in the tank for most of its recent recent existence until Solich arrived. Going to a Bowl Game is something we never expected in the past.
That's it for now. I am sure my assessment will create a difference of opinion that you can continue to read.

I'd say our line play has been our key. Four seniors start on the defensive line and have made it pretty tough on running backs all year and started getting good pressure on opposing QBs the second half of the year. The offensive line also has been they key of the offense. Look at the stats for our team and no one really stands out, so maybe that's a weakness. We're pretty solid all around but aside from the line play, no other area is really exceptional. Our quarterback Boo Jackson is a fifth-year senior who is versatile but sometimes mistake-prone. We have another "wildcat" quarterback Phil Bates who I think we all hoped would be able to throw a bit better butg he has been by far our best runner.
