For the 3 MAC Schools with an 8-4 record and waiting to find out their fate today it may just come down to several factors.
1) Scheduled opponents
2) TV market ( show us the money)
3) Fans will to travel

Of the 3 teams not in this years MACC game Ohio was the only one with a 1-AA school on the schedule
Temple clearly has the best TV market
Traveling fan base is one difficult to determine factor.

Summary:
It certainly would be a travesty if 1 or a  couple of these 8-4 teams gets bumped by a 6-6 or 7-5 team from a comparable or weaker conference and that did not win their conference.
Objectively speaking it appears that both Temple & Toledo had a more difficult schedule, no 1-AA teams.
I have to think that the order in being bowl selected will be 1-Temple 2-Toledo & 3-Ohio.
Now that's my objective view not my personal view.
There are many extenuating facts that can be discussed and has been on this board as to why 1 team should be selected over the other.
Then there is always the politics of this. I'm sure the phone lines have been busy. I would think the the combination of Frank & Roderick will be trying to pull out all the stops. I would also think that Frank has more connections than the other coaches.
