I have seen a few different references to players that are academically inelegible based on the end of Fall Quarter.  Has there been any word on who those players might be?  Although our players are ultimately responsible for their own actions, Ohio is at a bit of a disadvantage to most schools due to the quarter system.  Most schools would not determine football eligibility until after the first of the year.

As part of our Posting Policy, please refrain from speculating on names. In each of Ohio's previous two Bowl appearances, there have been academic casualties.

In basketball, this has actually worked in our favor in that players have become eligible in November as soon as grades were posted.  Unfortunately for fall sports, it works in reverse.

Yep, if I remember correctly, Bubba got to play 'early' because of this. A couple others come to mind, but I'm not so sure.

I had thought the ineligibility didn't begin until first day of winter quarter, hence the reason it was a problem at the GMAC bowl but not the LCPB.

Okay. I remember our punter getting kicked off the team but not any ineligibles. My bad.
