"Murderer's Row" and "Little Sisters of the Poor" divisions would have been cool.

"Meth House" and "Alcoholicly Addled" were a close second.

The SEC laughs.

What a joke.  Who the heck is going to be able to remember those divisions.  Just silly.

Does this mean because Michigan's in the "Pompous" Division and Ohio A&M is in the "Ass" Division there will be years in which they don't play? If that's the case I don't care what they call it because it will hurt the rivalry much like Oklahoma-Nebraska has suffered.

You've got to wonder if they're even using outside viewpoints when they have these Big Ten Conference meetings.

If what is rumored in Iowa is true we may have the Test Positive and Refuse to Pee divisions.

They will continue to play one another.

The PAC-10 was going to do something like this or the mess called the ACC setup but wisely decided to settle on geographic divisions. Its easier to market a conference when fans can recall by intuition who is in the division. The divisional setup was bad enough. I could have understood trying to split up the Indiana and Illinios schools by having Northwestern and Purdue in one division and Indiana and Illinios in another to spread the Chicago TV markets to both divisions. Placing Ohio State/Penn State into one division and Michigan State/Michigan into another is a complete mess.

I'm a BC football season ticket holder and I couldn't tell you how the ACC is divided.

Methinks someone in Delaney's office should have called the NHL.  Quick who was in the Norris Division? The Smythe?

Even though NHL trophies still carry names (very original Big Ten!) they at least dumped the totally irrelevant Division names years ago for East, West, Central, etc.  Lady Bing Trophy has a nice ring for a hockey player, doesn't it?

I guess Big Ten fans are more sophisticated than 10 million Canadian hockey fans.  They'll remember these set-ups.

I am all of the sudden a big Nebraska Fan. Would love to see them roll into the circus and win it the first year. That would speak volumes.

Settle down Mr. Defender - he said he would love to see them roll into the circus (the Big Ten/Twelve) and win it the first year. He never said anything about them rolling through the competition.

Did you see that Ohio State's strength of schedule this year was no better than Boise State?

Nebraska part of the Big Ten network could mean a game in Lincoln for the Cats.

Where did I say anything about OSU?  or their SOS??????  For my money it is much harder to play and win in Wisconsin than it is Ohio Stadium.  Why does everyone have to ass-u-me that OSU is what everyone is talking about?

Penn State came into the Big Televen thinking they would win regularly, and have yet to win the Conference, though they have been competitive. I would expect Nebraska to be competitive, but that doesn't necessarily mean they can win the Big Tenwelve.  On the other hand, they will leave a vacuum in the Big Twelveten North, and it will be interesting to see if Missouri begins to dominate it.

Penn State won the Big 10 in 2005 and 2008. Although they tied Ohio State, they finished higher in the polls and represented the Big 10 in their BCS games in those years.

I do agree with your point though that it may be harder for Nebraska than everybody expects. But i still think they'll win the Big 10 next year.
