This is painful.  Is Boo being punished for the eligibility problem?  They look outclassed like they did at the beginning of the bowl game last year.

Thats our M.O. The play calling goes something like this: run, run, pass. Next possession, run, run, pass. Then if we are lucky, run, run, run,! Even with a 14 point lead, Troy is pass, pass, run. This is embarassing. Albin at his finest.

I don't think this can all be blamed on the offense. Almost every play Troy runs seems to work.  The sad thing is that we have no chance with Bates at QB.

I really thought we would be better prepared for this game. Boo on the sidelines is a total joke. If Troy watched any of our tapes from earlier in the season, they know every one of our 10 offensive plays. Pathetic.

Don't blame Albin.  Bates is weak throwing which is a known.  As good as a guy as Boo is had he had his academics in order he'd likely have started and we'd have a more versatile offense. Also, Troy has shown themselves to be a better team so far.  We have no answer for Jernigan.

Why is the discussion about the offense?  The defense is awful and could easily give up 50+ this game.  Sorry but we have no chance.

this is absoutely insane. There's not a person the planet that thinks Phil bates can throw the ball down field, we're basically running a less imaginative Wofford offense.

WTF.

You seriously are blaming the OC for a sieve like defense?

Well, who is calling the plays?!? We are not going to score by running every play. Troy is mixing up their offense, why can't we?

Frank either needs to go with Tettleton or let Boo out of his doghouse IMO. 30-7 with under 3 in Q2 makes for a BIG uphill battle. Defense hasn't shown up tonight.

We can't mix up the plays because our quarterback can't pass.  The Bates gimmick hasn't worked in many games.  Now the bad gimmick is every play. Let's look at the bright side, at least we know he can;t play QB next year.

No, I'm blaming the OC for unimaginative play calling and getting some points on the board. The defense needs rest which they could get if the offense isn't 3 and out all the time.

And we're not gonna beat anybody allowing over 300 yards in the 1st half.

the defense is getting run over because our offense won't give them a chance to catch their breath. Plus, as embarrassingly obvious as our play calling is Troy can afford to let it rip.

Let's be real. This team can't get up for a big game. I was at the Kent game and they were the same way. Defense did not show up, Albin is simply a terrible play caller and Frank must have made some pact with Bates to get him here, because there is no way this guy should be qb at any level of collegiate football.

Is there a mercy rule? I 'm glad we are not playing Wisconsin because they would be trying to put 90 on the board.

Defense gives up 371 yards in a half.   Troy: 6 possessions and 6 scores.  In the future we need to really evaluate whether we should accept a bowl bid, if bowl eligible. There is nothing positive for Ohio as a university from this display tonight.

My favorite: 3rd and long toward end of first quarter and call a QB draw out of a timeout. Brilliant!!

Another thing to work on next year: play with some sense of urgency at the end of halves. I know it mattered little (none, actually) tonight, but too many times we waste time outs early, leaving the team with only one or no time outs at the end of a half. Then use the entire play clock with time winding down at the end of a half. Reminds me of when Davies was the coach at ND.

Ok. I would say your making excuses for poor tackling, coverage and getting pancaked at the line. If we are gonna call out the OC, the DC deserves equal blame.
