Powerhouse Aliquippa loses state championship and coach teaches players a valuable lesson. A lesson many on this board have not learned.

I think the senitment expressed by that coach is consistent with this Nebraska slogan that is etched in one corner of their stadium.  It was written by Hartley Burr Alexander, a philosophy professor at Nebraska.  I've always liked the idea behind it, since it was first called to my attention after Frank Solich was hired.  I think it would be nice to incorporate this statement into a banner somehwere in Peden Stadium.

That is awesome! My high school coach instilled this idea in me. He always said
"you don't need to look at the scoreboard to know how well you played". But beyond that, give the other team their due and vow to learn and get better from this game.
