EMU 41
SJSU 27

And in the nightcap . . .
Toledo 21
Liberty 19

In that first game, the momentum was all SJSU until EMU blocked an extra point attempt and ran it back for the two point conversion, making the score 13-2. EMU then reeled off 30 unanswered points to take a commanding lead they never relinquished.

UT likewise looked overmatched early, but came back in the second half with two long drives and made key stops. A missed extra point on a fumbled snap by Liberty proved to be decisive.

Go MAC!

Those were two good wins by the MAC yesterday. Toledo ended their year on the upswing beating a good G5 team (making Ohio's lose by only 10 points w/ a 3rd string QB even more impressive) and Eastern Michigan won their first bowl game in over 30 years.

Like someone said earlier, EMU's coach Creighton has done a fantastic job and why P5 schools aren't beating the door down to hire this guy is beyond me (maybe they are and I just don't know it). One could make a good argument that EMU was the best MAC team this year when the entire year's considered.

It was nice to turn on the TV and channel surfing come upon ESPN and watch these games. Even though I have no connection with either EMU and/or Toledo it was just one casual football fan flipping on my TV and watching what was being broadcast. Wish I could do that with our Bowl Game. BTW, these were great games to watch and both EMU/Toledo represented the MAC well.

If you can get to ESPN, you can get to Barstool, I assure you. In fact, it's easier. You don't even have to channel surf. You can go right to it.

My point about finding the game ON TV is that as a casual fan channel surfing and not looking for something in particular, all I had to do was turn on the TV, nothing else, which is what most casual viewers are doing. I forgot those two games yesterday were even being played. I just stumbled upon them. Not going to happen for the casual viewer with our game.

You're gonna be extremely upset when you use the internet you're on right now to google who just offered $2.5B for NFL TV rights...

It's YouTube.

Cable is dying. DirectTV's deal is over this year.

How will you ever manage?

So when will we read that not only the CFP but all of college football is dumping ESPN, CBS, Fox and whatever so they too can sign contracts for this great wonder called Barstool whatever? BTW, I do not and will not pay for the NFL Network or whatever.

YouTube TV is a subscription service just like cable, just like Dish, of which you obviously already subscribe.

Basic cable BTC, and no add on like the NFL Network. It is my internet provider, hence I still have cable.

No but what you’ll see is ESPN existing as an app only. No cable channel because that concept will be gone. No one under 50 “channel surfs.”

And, some older folks also. A good friend of mine, who is several years my senior, cut the cord about two years ago. Though I still have cable, streaming services make up a fairly high percentage of my viewing.

What’s really kinda interesting and a little weird is that a lot us do kinda channel surf now that I think about it because a lot of cord cutters have gotten an antenna. I think the MAC level teams would do well on a platform like Stadium .
