A big name like Sanders -- and his personal wealth probably -- making an immediate impact at a place like Jackson State is easy to understand. I don't think that's as easy to replicate at Colorado. It will make for great TV (for some people) no matter which direction it goes.

PAC-12 will be easier to win without USC so that will help.

I think you are underestimating his presence and personality to bring in players. He relates to the players on a level others cannot.

I'm not underestimating it at all. I'm just contrasting the two situations.

I say the following without any experience watching Deion coach, but at the smaller schools/conferences (which Jackson State is), bringing in top D-1 talent can be enough to make the difference in wins and losses, coaching be damned. This jump to the PAC-10 (even a lighter version) will have similar athletes on the other side of the ball. Now, the coaching will take on a much larger piece of the puzzle, not just recruiting. Will be interesting to see if he's up to that.
